I showed friends the photo of Boston's uniforms, and they had NO idea which corps it was haha. But honestly, I think they look good. My only criticism is the orange-ish color, but it will probably not be as noticable from the stands

Yes, some homers have become cynical over the years. But, I personally know people that despise the Cadets, and they have never been a part of the organization in any fashion. A few of them happen to be instructors on the west coast. (Some still hold a grudge from the 2007 quarterfinals incident)

Last years Cadet's season was more or less a disaster (in Cadet standards). Still placed 6th. I don't see that happening again. They will be top 4

Judges definitely reward variety. Demonstrating that you have the ability to showcase many different skills and styles is something they look for I'm excited

What was your impression of the brass? Ensemble sound and/or technical wise

The leaked image from a couple weeks ago was slightly different. It didn't have the elbow pads or holsters. And the black area above the chevron logo was solid black, not divided into 4 parts. Also it showed both black and white helmets. White might be for the drum majors, but we'll see

I also dont understand what you mean by "eastern".... how is Phantom's show "eastern"? How is Metamorph "eastern"? Personally, I'm glad most shows aren't exuberating happiness the whole time. Barf. Yawn. True art should make you think. And sometimes, it should make you uncomfortable. Otherwise it is boring and forgettable. I also dont think this criticism is warranted yet. Come back in July after you've seen all of these productions on the field.

Mine too. It's impressive. I also think of that moment in '93 when the guard is in that big triangular block on the left side of field. Perfectly in sync while the hornline is playing runs. It stands out in my mind

Very interested in the guard staging. One of the biggest problems the past couple years is they've been put backfield too much, and are often in forms that aren't effective. Spreading them out and putting them in single file lines and curves isn't great. Remember the 2014 opener when the guard was all silks in a huge block? Now THAT was effective. Haven't seen anything like that since.

Half notes and whole notes aren't hard. Still an impressive ensemble sound as usual. Goosebumps
