  1. If I was around you I would have a mask on. I have made that clear on here many times. I wear a mask, but I don't have selective outrage at folks who don't. I'm not sure but it does seem like your posts about another site made you angry. I will not reply to your post anymore.
  2. I do wear a mask. When I made the statement "I'm not out in groups large enough to worry about it" means I am wearing a mask and if a group of people were around that didn't then I would move on.
  3. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4873718/ (surgical Mask not cloth) https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28039289/(The study indicates a potential benefit of medical masks for source control, but is limited by small sample size and low secondary attack rates. Larger trials are needed to confirm efficacy of medical masks as source control.) https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7191114/ (suggest using a mask but is not an actual efficacy study ,,, but it does mention a cloth mask) (I agree with the assumptions made though with this sentence "reduces the risk for resurgence during relaxation of social distancing measures." https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-020-0843-2 (surgical masks not cloth) https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-020-0843-2 (N95 not cloth and it was more about the FIT) No one has done an actual efficacy study on simple cloth masks. You should have know that already, considering the google skills. Saw a friends pictures posted from a current vacation "the sky was all purple and there were people with no masks on--- running everywhere,,, YOU KNOW I DIDN'T EVEN CARE". I have no care if someone wants to not wear a mask, I will give them a wide berth and move on. I am not out in groups large enough to worry about it. The justice league hall monitoring types on the other hand do have problems with it. But from where I sit the problems appear to be selective.
  4. It means they have done an amazing job keeping the virus under control. Here, the virus controls us. I think Jur. Lancer answered you,,,and quite well I disagree with both of you.
  5. https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/05/health/health-care-open-letter-protests-coronavirus-trnd/index.html
  6. See the pile on now jim? point was that the virus is not magically gone from Japan and not all the population is wearing masks and stores - restaurants do not require masks. But School / BAND / Athletics have been going for months now. Why?
  7. I mentioned before their bands / strings and athletic teams are all back in along with school. Japan is not testing like America period. They know they have many more cases but they are not testing. There is more than one reason for that. I was asked which country and provided the info. I even mention I was reluctant to do so. Now everyone can see why. Band season is not cancelled in Japan and they are not having any major outbreaks. Why is that? Not because the have the virus under control. You can't control it other than a vaccine.Even a well known colorguard and band program is not cancelled. That is on topic.
  8. Meanwhile school has been in full time there in Japan. Some Teachers wear a mask some do not same with the students, does that mean they are selfish self centered idiots that deserve to have thoughts and prayers? Does that mean they do not have respect for their fellow countrymen?
  9. So even the seat-belt law is not nation wide. Dang those states for having freedoms.
  10. They have the right not to wear it. If a law is passed and upheld to require a mask then the social warriors can go after them to give them tickets for it. The Majority of police have already stated that they do not intend to enforce the mandates. You can make it personal all you want, that does not change my opinion. If that is what these people want to do then I am not going out to social police them. I wear a mask everywhere I go, with the exception of in home / car / exercise. My family does the same where they are. I hope to join them soon so I don't have to worry about the dcp justice league coming after me at home for not having my mask on.
  11. How about in new Hampshire? How about the states where it is not a primary offense and unless you are committing another offense you will not be stopped or cited.
  12. I don't know about all of that because I have been wearing a mask while in shops since this started. I don't find it funny either. The mob mentality here is strong, its like no one has lived real life and never had anyone disagree with them. So I guess the teachers and students in Japan not wearing their masks are not considerate of their fellow countrymen and also deserve thoughts and prayers. Interesting how that country moves along while the same virus is among them. They don't seem to be having these meltdowns on each other about should school reopen.
  13. Yes you do have the right in one state that I know of---not to wear a seatbelt. So many times you can catch people dashing into a place with no shirt or shoes and still get served. I would not do it but I don't live in PA or some place where it is obviously an issue. But you always have the right not to wear it. It is a choice made. Also it is not a primary offense in all 50 states which means the police will not stop you strictly on the no seat belt offense.
  14. Break out the cloth mask study that has a conclusion on the effectiveness with covid. Please post it up.
  15. It is for that reason yes. But not everyone will wear a mask even in the situations before and after covid started. And they are not having issues with people yelling or cursing at each other over masks. There are other various reasons for masks in Japan. What is amazing to me here on this message board is that regardless of my own personal actions, I point out - people do have their own right not to wear a mask. Then just sit back and watch the overreactions, the rude behavior. As if I was the person not wearing a mask. It’s like a mob mentality to pile on and cancel someone out. Meanwhile school has been in full time there in Japan. Some Teachers wear a mask some do not same with the students, does that mean they are selfish self centered idiots that deserve to have thoughts and prayers? Does that mean they do not have respect for their fellow countrymen?
  16. Someone should have stopped these parents for demonstrating their 1st amendment rights! Also who allowed them to read and make up their own minds about anything? It's like somehow the parents all got together and started reading propaganda like this https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4420971/
  17. And also interesting mask's have never been mandated in Japan. Strange how they make up their own minds about wearing the mask. Some in Japan wear masks for not necessarily a health reason. I can say that from what I know its around 50/50 with kids wearing masks in school there, actually more do not but 50/50 seems close enough. Same out in public. Pollution in their cities is the same as USA, Its not china, so not sure where you are going with that.
  18. Japan. I was a little reluctant to give out personal info. The infection numbers are on the rise again after the peak in April. But they really only gave a small break and then made moves to reopen in May for most places. When school is open that pretty much means all of their activities, track , swimming , band, strings etc.
  19. One country that I am aware of have had school going for some time now and also all extra curricular activities including Band. No major outbreaks.
  20. I was waiting on this post! Thanks for that!
  21. Maybe when he was on the bookface he was doing some day drinking? That seems to be a problem with the work from home crowd.
  22. It is their right to not wear a mask. Stores also have the right not to allow anyone entry.
  23. That is probably a great idea if you have given all you have and nothing left to give. I'm not sure you really wan to be at that point but hey thats cool and all.
  24. realizing that no matter what we do - covid19 is still out there. the only way to exist is to work with it. someone does not want to wear a mask so what. why do you have to wrap yourself in circles over it?
  25. "The best thing I can do right now is turn off my phone and walk away." they play but they really do play.
