Rochester Crusaders Announce 2007 Design Team Written by Mike Linton, Director, Rochester Crusaders Monday, 16 October 2006 The Rochester Crusaders would like to announce their 2007 design team, for our 60th anniversary. Brass arranger will be Hall of Famer, Jim Prime Jr, whose credits include Cadets, Star of Indiana, Boston Crusaders and Blast. The percussion design will be handled by Paul Rennick, present designer for Phantom Regiment and formerly of the Blue Devils, Crown and Velvet Knights. The Visual design will be written by Jeff Wroeblewski. Jeff is a much sought after designer who currently write for many college and high school band programs, along with his former association with the Star of Indiana. With this fine design team already hard at work, 2007 should prove to be the next step in our Crusade to be amongst the best DCA has to offer. November 26th is our open house, come on out and see for yourself what Cru can do for you.   7. The Rochester Crusaders are excited to announce the addition of Gene O’Brien to the Crusader Family. Gene will be filling the position of Show Coordinator for the 2007 season. Gene comes to us with a wealth of experience in the drum corps activity. Gene is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and of The University of Massachusetts at Lowell. He is currently the Director of music, the Director of Marching Band, Jazz Band and Concert Band for the Everett Public schools in Everett Massachusetts. Gene is also a DCI Show Coordinator and consults for many marching band programs in the New England area. Gene has been on staff of 2005 Syracuse Brigadiers, 2000 Connecticut Hurricanes, 92-94 Boston Crusaders, Phoenix Waltham Ma, and the Spartans of Nashua New Hampshire DCI Div 2 Champs 1997-1998. Gene and our Administration staff are putting together a very exciting program for the Crusaders 60th year. Expect a lot of exciting changes to be announced in the near future.
  8. The Crusader Family would like to welcome Carol O’Brien to our front podium. Carol brings a long history and wealth of experience with her. Carol spent 8 years with the Connecticut Hurricanes as Drum Major and 3 years with Syracuse Brigadiers as the assistant Drum Major. Assisting Carol will be Adam Gregson who is a senior at Fredonia studying music. Our Back Field Drum major will be Dana Jakiw. All Three Drum Majors will be a welcome addition to our Family.
