Why is it that certain people around here can get by with hyping their corps to the max, verging on being way too extra, but when we try all hell breaks loose? I've been wondering this for a while now, and just finally decided to bring it up in the discussion.

Just made the mistake of jumping onto Flo, and the #### standby music is stuck in my head again. You know if they were still around Velvet Knights would have worked it into their shows just to annoy us. Lol. I miss them...

I wondered if this would happen with the judges being sidelines. I always thought they needed two judges, one for the pit and one for the battery, because the percussion judge was always up in the grill of the battery and seemed to rarely have anything to do with the pit.

I wish tapes were released to the public in some type of forum at the end of the season. I'd love to hear what the judges have to say about these shows. Maybe just release the regionals and Indy.

I was just talking to someone about the percussion, and I think the issue is either the writing or the pit. I think the battery is executing pretty well, but I haven't really watched the pit this year or really listened to them either. I'll probably be doing that tonight. This is all coming from someone who never played percussion though.

It really is. I have people I've known for years pop-up as BAC fans and actually stop talking to me because I'm a Crown fan. I didn't even know what to say to that. Ending 20 years of friendship over drum corps? Really? Let alone the run-in I had with a lady at a gas station after the NKY show in 2017. It has been absolutely ridiculous to be a Crown fan these last few seasons. Sure, we were ###### initially about the poaching of the staff, but we are fine now. If you ask any Crown fan, they'll be the first to say they're glad so and so left because the corps is in a better place, and less monotony when it comes to design. May have been some flops, but we survived. I mean, Beast finished 4th and that was a #### show of design. It's literally a matter of realizing that Crown isn't the only corps infront of you. 2017 Crown was nowhere near you in placement, two corps between them, and had a 4 point lead. 2018 Crown was ahead by almost a point and a half. 2019 there was another whole corps between the two AND a 2 point difference. Focus on things at home before you want to come after a corps that was in the next tier above you. This year is different, but it's still much of the same. Not to mention that even though there were no judges in 2021, and the fact that Crown didn't even go to Indy, they were STILL talking smack. Like y'all, GET A GRIP HERE!!!

I don't think he meant anything by it, just frustrated, as the rest of us are, with certain fanbases that we have had to deal with for a few seasons now constantly coming after our favorite. It's only ever Crown they come after hard, and it's really gotten old.

No no, I will go to my grave saying that the audience is what won them the championship that year. The audience energy fed the corps their energy.

I hate that audio effect. Hated it when Bloo added it to the Trumpet soloist in Come Together, hate it now with Phantom Regiment...

I loved it for the most part. It was sort of slow, but overall I liked it. Not my favorite though. I wasn't ready for Eddie in the finale...even though I knew it was coming. My pick would be Mandarins or Academy. I'm gonna sit down and make a list for each corps of shows I want to see them do. Lol. Could be a fun thread.

I wish someone would do a full on Stranger Things show. I love the music in that show, and I would expire seeing a Demogorgon on the field! Lol.

This whole show was a missed design opportunity in my opinion. It needs so much more color, and they should have used more music from either film.
