Buddy Rich used several manufacturers throughout his career including Ludwig, Rogers, Slingerland, & Vox kits. But he mostly used the white marine pearl Slingerland kit. You can own his 1968 kit that's been discounted to about $23k from Donn Bennett. (Scroll down to the 7th row.) Several other famous kits available from his 'Drum Vault'. I'm sure financing is available. 💵

I didn't care for 2022 at all when I first watched it online. In person I was blown away. The crowd reaction in Indy was great.
That was true for me as well watching Crown & The Cadets online. But when I experienced them live. 🙌
There's no comparison watching these shows online vs live & 'in person'. ✅

That ballad.Think we posted at the same time. I'm glad they've released the mock-up so I can get record my 'ear worms' to memory.

Troopers dropped the mock up of their entire show on Facebook. 😘
I think the ballad will be one of the great moments in DCI history. Sandi's keyboard arrangements!

Thank you, Contraguard05. I appreciate your reply!
In addition to @contraguard05's explanation, the corps also avoid HR issues by hiring 'part-time' contract employees. 👍

When I was in high school, I thought and said the same thing, that I would laugh if some "military dude" yelled at me.
Until I went to boot camp and this Chief who was built like a Winnebago got in my face.
I did a lot of stuff......laughing wasn't one of them.
"Built like a Winnebago"! Adding that to my repertoire 😂

Jim made a reservation there. In April hahaha.
Maybe he wants to make a test run to get the lay of the land & make sure the steaks are rare. Or medium? 🤷♂️
I think there's a Longhorn Steak House behind the Embassy.

The sleeves of wind breaker's work well to store several beers or other drinks. A sleeve with elastic cuffs does it best.
Or a puffy shirt...

Wasn't Murfreesboro the show site that people complained about, a year or two ago, because they only opened one gate and there was a huge backup?
Yes, I was in that mess with one gate (Gate 3). The next year they opened another gate & it went much smoother but the concessions are still congested. I drank a bottle of water before entering & also took a bottle in my pocket. 😁 @Terri Schehr

I skipped last year but as @drumhead31 stated, it's a great venue except I need a little more knee room in the chair back section. 😁 There's been a lot of construction in the past taking up some of the stadium parking. May have been completed by now but there is parking around campus if you're ok to walk. I have been just taking Lyft from the hotel.

I was at the St Louis stadium the last time they held a show there. It was run down and poorly maintained.
Not a bad venue (needs upgrading), but I understand It was a logistics nightmare for parking, warm up, etc.

Cool, you can call an audible (Ok Dr Philosophy - is it an audible if you can’t hear it? This is a variation of the tree falling in forest question).
LSU, on the other hand, developed air conditioned helmets (not making this up)
The next thing, air conditioned shakos for DCI; wait... 😂

Don’t forget the field replacement at LOS after Olympic swim trials. Because construction projects are always completed on time.
The positive about the new turf installation in LOS should be no weather delays. Here's hoping everything goes well & as planned. I guess we could all go to Military Park for a stand still. 🤷♂️🧐

I wonder if they would let corps use Sam's Club as well? Costco next?
They could pick up a great deal on a set of bus tires. Buy 4 get 4 free. 😁

I could actually swing it. If the corps wants to sleep in tents.... or a barn.
I think I've stayed in what was equivalent to a barn on tour. Some barns are actually nicer. 😁

I'm just not following @jmc5682 & the nuance thing. I've got three degrees but I guess I'm just not that smart. But I know what love is. 😂

A Walmart with a Waffle House in parking lot is a whole weekend of entertainment
That 2am Waffle House 'scrambled plate' run after a show or gig! True story; guy tries to hide from the police in the ceiling of a Waffle House. 😂

This sounds like a great idea but all I can think of is those people of Walmart videos.
I was about to say this is a good thread for the people of Walmart. 😂

EMCproductions guy released a video & kind of "lays it all out". He goes down the "GH rabbit hole" at 3:55.

They could have said Right Here, Right Now another 30 times during that show and I wouldn't have cared. Still one of my all time fave shows ever. If Troop hadn't done the cello thing that year, Crown doing it instead of the soprano solo would have brought the whole crowd to tears in Benedictus.
Same; I was ok with the narration & theme. I actually loved the 'dance & groove' section. Everyone was dancing in my section except for an older gentleman behind me. I apologized to him but he laughed & said was enjoying it. I think he had some mobility issues. The soloist was incredible!

With the season right around the corner, I have been binging shows recently. Watched 2022 (which I had honestly been avoiding for some reason) and it was such a fun show. Great music, great ending, crowd loved it. Might not have ticked all the judging boxes but a fun show that the members seemed to enjoy performing. Can’t wait for this season with what little I heard from them back in January.
Loved the show right there & right then. That ballad!

Apparently, all that matters is whether lawyers will name the new corps as a defendant in a civil suit, rightly or wrongly.
Are you referring the a potential new "Cadets" organization? Or "The Cadets of Memphis"? 🧐
