  1. i'm pretty sure this is the first time they have finished top 5 at a DCI regional event....being an alum (05) makes me so proud....i just got off the phone with some of my friends who march there...everyone is stoked...i wish i was out there this summer...oh well...GO CROWN!
  2. i dont understand my so many people are putting crown so low...they are good this year...they will finish no lower than 7th...i dont think they will break the top 5 but i right now they are the front runner for 6th place in my eyes
  3. i can see crown making a championship run in around 5 years...they have everything in place. Every show the past 3 years under the new staff has been a remarkable improvement. Even though they were a 7th place corps in 2004 and 2005 you cant tell me they were not on an entirely different level in 2005
  4. yeah he is one of the greatest guys ive met....an all around great guy!!
  5. Who wants to chat tonight?... i guess use flash chat at the top of the page
  6. yeah i guess crown doesnt have a staff during the summer according to that dude....since no one on staff seems to be there more than 2 weeks in his opinion j/k
  7. ive heard who the new guy is....good things are in store for crown B)
  8. itll be intresting to see what show concept they bring to the table this coming year
  9. head what about them?...like for this coming year
  10. its still early but lets have some fun...keep it clean...its all in fun mine.... Phantom Cadets Cavies Bluecoats Blue Devils Crown Madison SCV Boston Blue Knights Crossmen Glassmen
  11. Crown '05- "Never Surrender" from the movie First Knight
  12. i just read this on crowns website...it really touched my heart... Crown Family Members Safe on the Gulf Coast By , Carolina Crown, Inc. Aug 31, 2005, 13:58 Email this article Printer friendly page Carolina Crown got good news today about two of our alums from the hurricane ravaged areas of the Gulf Coast. Jessica Speers (P04-05) and Steven Musmusche (P99-01) from Louisiana both contacted us indicating they are safe. Carolina Crown has dozens of alumni, volunteers and supporters from the Gulf Coast. Our thoughts are with them during this time, and we ask that anyone getting word about any of them contact Moe at the Crown office (moe@carolinacrown.org) to let us know! Here's some others received since then: Moe, Just wanted to let you guys know that my family and I rode out the storm in Louisiana and made it through just fine, thank God. Unfortunately, some of my friends weren’t as fortunate, so please keep us all in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you. Justin Nicholson mellophone 03-04 ---------------------------- Hi Moe,I left LSU last Sunday with a few of my friends. I got home safely enough, even though ittook 6 hours longer than usual. School has been cancelled for a while and they're using LSU as a massive shelter, so I don't know when things will get back to normal, if they ever will. Thanks for your concern, Becky Stevenson (B05) -------------------- Subject: FYI: Jeremy's hurricane updateHey guys, It's Jeremy Claud (G03-05)! I've received a lot of calls and instant messages from a lot of crownies, and because my otheremail address is currently floating in a destroyed server at the University, I decided to write an email en masse. As you all know, I should be used to hurricanes by now, but alas this was "the big one". Fortunately I hadn't moved into my chic apartment yet, so I was in Pensacola, FL when Katrina hit. But unfortunately, I've lost everything I decided to store in New Orleans(including my vehicle). My mom said, "There must've been a guardian angel watching over you, that's why your apartment wasn't ready." Hmm, and we just finished a season doing an Angels show.. coincidence? I THINK NOT! haha. Also interesting, I was reading an article from a New Orleans paper and the writer wrote a descriptive scene where the LA Lottery billboard was ripped to shreds except for the numbers 4 and 4 left. Just one more four and that would've be in wet my pants creepy. Oh well. My Mom also said materialistic thingscan be replaced, I should just be happy that I'm not stuck in the chaos of the city right now, which is very depressing to watch. Well, since my college is closed indefinitely for the semester, they have given us the option to go to any of the other 27 Catholic Jesuituniversities in the United States. So for this fall, I am a "visiting advertising student" at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. Who'd a thunk it? By the time you get this email, I will be wearing a cheese hat. As for my plans next semester? Well, it all depends on the situation of the city... if it's back to normal operations then I'll be back... if not then I'll most likely apply to study abroad in France spring semester through my school. Viva La France! Well that's my 411 on the situation. I can't express enough gratitude to everyone that has tried to contact me in the past few days. I've been through a roller coaster of emotions this past week(the biggest natural disaster in US history and lucky me gets directly effected). I appreciate having the oppurtunity to vent to everyone, and this email is in a way theraputic for me. lol, jk. Hope everyone has a better fall and winter season! (which shouldn't be too hard :) )
