Capital Brass! Debut Moved Up AND 2007 Book Unveiled! Our debut has moved up a week - and we've added a great John Arietano arrangement to the book! ============================================================================== A) CB! Debut MOVED UP A WEEK! Capital Brass! has been booked in a BIG holiday charity event at the HUGE Crossgates Mall, in Guilderland, NY - on Sunday, December 3rd - 6-9pm. The "Evening of Giving" is a charitable event that benefits non-profit groups in the region. 100% of the proceeds from the event go to the participating groups. Thousands of people attend this event on one of the biggest shopping mall days of the year! CB! will also appear in concerts earlier in the day: details are being worked out now, so watch the on-line schedule page. The following week (Friday evening , Dec 8th), , we will appear at The Columbia County Museum as a part of "Candlelight Night in Kinderhook". Our holiday series will be well worth checking out. These aren't the typical, lame, 4-part holiday arrangements you get from the Salvation Army band, et al. We've put some real work into producing this set. We have some great arrangements of "The Christmas Song" and "Silent Night", along with some other fully voiced and nicely arranged selections. You can hear a couple of them on the website, under CB! Playlist. We'll also be using some new tunes from our regular book, which is FULL of tasty arrangements. Check us out, if you can. B) CB! Anoounces 2007 Performance Book! <**> I resent the behavior of one of the staff at the stadium on Sunday. There was a particular gentleman who gave my mother a difficult time when the Alumni Spec. was over and they were trying to clear the stadium. She has a severe problem with her knee. Thus she was walking with a walker slowly to get to an exit where she would wait while someone walked a mile to get the car (even though it had a handicap sticker -- she was not allowed in the lot close to the stadium). As she was moving, she was, in my opinion, harrassed by the worker to move faster, or in his words, he would call her a tow truck. Nice hey??? First of all it wasn't funny. She was in terrible pain to the point when I got her back to the hotel, she was crying in pain. Second, this person should learn to have respect for the elderly -- his day will come. Finally, he should be thankful my brother didn't pop him one (he hurts), or worse yet, if my sister got ahold of him. In fairness to the gentleman, someone did track him down and he offered an apology and free tickets to finals....whooopie!!!! Her favorite corps wasn't performing so she politely refused. Anyway, I think more could have been done for those needing special parking at the stadium. Hopefully things will be better next time for those that go.... Peace Dano

Tom Looking forward to working with you and the guys at CB!. There is a load of experience to draw from. And its LOCAL to boot!!! We have some music to start on immediately so no one will be bored on day 1. We also have some instruments in our inventory for those not owning thier own. We also need support personnel who will make up a very important part of the organization. There is something for everyone to do in this organization. Be part of it. Thank you Shennandoah Sound for a nice show. The facility itself was quite nice. Sorry Mother Nature didn't cooperate. But, oddly, it's things like this that we seem to remember! (And it is no fun running a show not knowing how the weather will impact the bottom line. I hope things worked out for you.) Congrats to all the corps, especially Hurcs.
