  1. Gotta say '74 Muchachos (or '75) 79 - Blue Devils and 79 Phantom Regiment.
  2. Star of Indiana '90. VK '92, and Madison Scouts '95
  3. I finally got to watch all of the DVD from finals, and I have to agree with topsops about DCA this year...the best ever from top to bottom. Loved the CorpsVets too. Just my .02.
  4. Nice review of the DVD, now I can't wait to get mine. Hopefully today, so don't call my house tonight, I'll be in front of the TV all night!
  5. Unfortunately I didn't get to the show (or maybe fortunate from what I've heard), but many, and I mean quite a few people said that St. Joes Alumni corps got more reaction from the audience than ANY of the Jrs. out there. What does that tell ya? Just asking?
  6. Nice review Tom. An honest one (unbiased) that I like to read. Not full of hype, just the facts as you saw them.
  7. Hey Roger, I just finished watching you guys myself.....love that show.
  8. I don't quite agree with EVERYTHING, but he/she is pretty honest about how he/she interpreted the shows.
  9. Terri, Marie and of course Kay.....I'll buy you all a beer at DCA!!! Going to I/E?
  10. b**bs b**bs b**bs b**bs ....The more I think about this whole thing, the funnier it gets. Sorry.
  11. Because you don't agree with him it's a bad review? I found it to be very complete. He's entitled to his opinion and called it like he saw it. Would you rather have him blow smoke up everyone's ###? He may have been brutally honest with some of his opinions but even with that he still managed to point out the things each corps is doing well, again, in his opinion, which as we all know he's entitled to whether you happen to agree with him or not... WOW.......you people get OVER excited very easy!!!!!!! WHEW, calm the #### down. RE-read what I said.....I didn't say I DISAGREE with the review. Geez, I only said it wasn't a good review because it sounded like he had issues with some of the corps. My goodness.....chill out folks. I'm sitting here laughing at how this got so out of hand so quickly! Ha Ha Ha. Maybe you all need to REALLY have a beer and not just TALK about drinking beer. b**bs
  12. :( Sorry, but this wasn't a good review at all. Sounds like you have issues with most of the corps (except Bush). Problems in the past or something?
  13. you're all wrong......1979! :P
  14. Just my .02, but drum corp wise, 27th has never been topped! Some guards looked tough (early Troopers), but nothing matches 27th in '79, which I consider the BEST. We watch that video at my house at least twice a month just for those riflers. What poise, stamina, class, toughness, and sheer power they had. WOW, I can't say enough about them. Watch for all the small things that are so military. AWESOME!! For WGI type guards: My number 1 is the old Holly Hawks color guard. Ever see them? If so, you would have to agree...tosses, spins, both flag and rifle AND saber, were all in unison and thrown at the same height constantly. I've never seen that since. 2nd would have to be State Street Review 3rd - Cavaliers 4th - Skylarks 5th - Phantom Regiment (even going back to the early 60's) 6th- Blue Devils Just IMHO. B)
