  1. This is a dream rep! Brass players, grow a third lung and another set of cahones! I have faith that this will be a banner year for PR. Reading down this list, all I could do is get more excited......then I read Elsa's..........ecstacy!!!!!
  2. I have to admit that I'm excited with what I've seen and heard from the Phantom camp so far. Shane Gwaltney as percussion caption is going to be exciting, the Juliet theme has some definite iconic Phantom possibilities, the all female color guard, and I know there were some excited girls over the new color guard co captions. Add JD Shaw working his brass magic and this should be a memorable year for them. The aforementioned "East of Eden" soundtrack - I listened to it and heard in my head what it could be if it was "Phantomized". I'm looking forward to their production because it sounds like it will be very audience accessable. Draw the audience in and nothing else really matters, does it?
  3. Bump Bump a Dee Bump Bump To Brian and the entire 2010-2011 Pioneer family, best of luck. I hope you cats have a great season. Bobby
  4. Oh....... 6) Tonight's my (kinda) 20th wedding anniversary. DCI finals in KC, wedding party made up of Florida Wave and vows exchanged in front of the school they were staying. Crushed egg noodles flying everywhere. Wrong date, but it helps me remember to get a gift. Heh.
  5. Here's what I think: 1) BD will win. 2) Crown will take all music performance captions and GE Music over Cadets. 3) Cadets will take All visual captions over Crown. 4) It won't matter what the number or placement, we will have our favorites. 4.1) Here's to hoping that HD footage translates to BluRay come November. 4.2) Synths and electronic instruments have opened up another door, for better or worse. 5) All drum corps participants, no matter their age, which corps they marched, etc., have worked hard all season to put out the best product for the fans. Thank you and job well done.
  6. Okay, here goes absolutely nothing: Allentown 7/31 & 8/1 BD Crown HNC Brass Performance - Harper 18.9 18.9 18.8 GE Music - Zimbleman 19.1 19.3 18.7 Ens Vis - Frank Miller 19.3 19.0 18.8 GE Vis - Marie Czapinski 8/2 N/A 18.6 19.0 Perc Perf - Pippitone 19.2 18.8 18.5 (BD on 7/27, Crown and Cadets on 7/26) GE Music - Fugett 18.6 19.1 18.9 (BD on 7/21, Crown and Cadets on 7/26) Atlanta 7/25 Music Ens - Carbone 18.6 18.7 18.5 Vis Perf - Chumley 19.3 18.4 18.6 San Antonio 7/18 GE Vis - Costanza 18.3 17.7 18.4 Only head to Head scores were used (with the exception of Perc Pef and Fugett GE Music) and only scores from San Antonio to the present. There are no CG scores because I didn't find Lee Carlson judging CG, although he has, of course, judged in other vis captons. Discuss.
  7. Does anyone have the complete list of judges for tonight? Thanks.

  17. 1) Texas camp went well and we've added some more new blood to the brass line. 2) 30 member mark? Hmmm, reread the last page of this thread for your answer.....again. http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/forums/inde...showtopic=93279
