  1. Agreed. I wouldn't worry much about your range, but rather worry about getting a good sound out of your trumpet.
  2. Haha. That's exactly why I am bothered by it. But I'm only bothered for about 1.5 seconds, so it's not a big deal. Whatever they gotta do to put on a great show. I wasn't aware Crown had a salute in the backfield. I missed that all season long.
  3. I'm having trouble understanding your visual design flaw theory. It's not a poor design. I don't think getting 3rd in visual GE is struggling. I believe they improved to third in visual performance yesterday. I loved the visual design and it came across from the field pretty well. Congrats Crown on an amazing year. I couldn't be prouder as an alumni and I look forward to another amazing year in 2010. Go Crown!
  4. I agree there are some things that need to be fixed visually but I think the design is not one of them. I think the visual design translates pretty well from the field to the audience. I would argue that the cleanliness of the drill is what is hurting them at this point. They finished 3rd in visual general effect (1 tenth behind Cadets) and 5th in visual performance. Edit: No way should Leon be fired. That's crazy. Crown's numbers are pretty amazing and they are competing for the championship. I couldn't be prouder.
  5. I have only seen the live webcasts and video on demand, but it seems Crown does this as well. I may be missing the salute being done else where by another drum major, but it doesn't sit well with me either. Maybe, like you said, they will add it in when things get more comfortable, but until then it is a noticable part of the show.
