  1. They anticipate spectators at 100,000. Gotta believe there would be at least one camera.
  2. Not going thru all 15 pages but, was Geniveve (spl) of the Brigadiers ever mentioned?
  3. DRAT !! Just when we get a new runway at Erie International long enough for them to use.
  4. Listening to the radio...Mercyhurst University (Erie) are playing football against East Stroudsburg and caught my attention. Does Blouse do half time shows? DA, Gary, anyone know? I can be there fairly quickly.
  5. What a great addition to the White Sabers. Mike is top notch.
  6. Just looking for an opening on this thread and not wanting to quote anyone. Many valid points on several sides of the aisle. Been there. have the Medals (6). I completly understand all your comments and Ideas. Been there...done that.. Methinks it's time for a break on the subject. Just sayin...........
  7. I guess I should have refferenced the indoor venue price. Yep....stadium prices are a tad more.
  8. Can't help but wonder what the score would have been had there been at least a touch of sobriety amongst us. Or maybe that was just me. Ya....we used to have fun. Just sayin...........
  9. Regarding DCA paying for the MiniCorps' venue....I'm sure they do. I think that Beer at $3.00 per ought to cover it. Even more monies would be had if they didn't sell out of the preffered beverage. Just sayin....
  10. Allentown is a nice venue. Are we talking J.Bernie Crum or whatever? If so....have they installed parking and escalators yet? Just curious. Haven't been there in a while but can't do the hill climb.
  11. Nice job Gadget. Blessed Sacs sop line has always been top notch. Usually a split lead arrangement that is awesome.
  12. Again many thanks to the Drum Corps' Community for your support. Also to the Meadville/Erie Thunderbirds past and present for being there for me and my family. (Had they all brought their respective instrument to the viewing we could have kicked somebody's ###) . Special thanks to Buglers Hall of Famer Mr. Jeff Gibbens who asked if it was o.k. to play Amazing Grace at the grave site. He asked ?? That's who this friend of mine is. Asked if he thought he could handle it. Couldn't answer as tears were in his eyes. Just nodded. Played it once. Turned back field....changed key by a 3rd played it again. THAT my friends....is a Hall of Famer. Thank you all....My Drum Corps' Family.
  13. To me, now, the sadist thing in her passing is not being able to appreciate the compassion sent by the Drum Corps' community. Many thanks.....Love you all.
  14. Everything seemed to be going so well and really anticipating Patty being home. Was not meant to be I guess. She went into cardiac arrest about 7:30 last night and dispite all efforts by paramedics and hospital staff she did not survive. Many thanks again to all of you for your prayers. What's meant to be is what's meant to be. God bless you all.
  15. Words can't express what I'm feeling right now. Read here many times of similar situations and all I can do is say...Thank You. Best I can do for repayment until my prayers are needed in return and I'll be there.
  16. Many thanks to all of you for your thoughts and prayers. Patty had an evaluation yesterday after 16 days. Original thinking by the SNF was to have her home by september. All the principals involved described her progress as "Remarkable". Looks as though she may be released to home health care within the next couple weeks. Prayers do work. No other explanation.
  17. Many thanks to you all for your thoughts and prayers. They are still working. Just have to say...as many of you know and have experienced some events are a life changing experience. They just show up wheather you won't them to or not. I now really understand what Fran Haring, Jim Fawber, and many, many others (to name a few) have went through. I used to think myself invinsible...my wife too...Hell I was on top of the world thinking I was a pretty decent Mellophone player and me and WMOM (tbird vidographer) had a good thing going. I now drive across town ..3 times a day..to visit her in rehab. Don't really think about her that much as I'm on my way to see her. I find myself looking at other drivers and wondering if they are experiencing the same situation. Finding myself less self-centered and more concerened about someone else as their situation may be worse than ours. Never appreciated what we had. Just hoping a little bit comes back. Just sayin............
  18. It truly is amazing Ray. It's not just lip service it really works. Many thanks.
  19. I know many of you have never met my wife Patricia but know this....your prayers have really helped. She is not out of the woods yet but at least she will be returning to the Erie area tomorrow for further rehab. All though slow...her rehab from a stroke has moved in a positive direction every day. Thank you all for those thoughts, well wishes and especially your prayers. They do work.
  20. For those of you following Patricia has been moved to inpatient reHab at UPMC Pittsburgh as opposed to moving her back closer to home. Makes perfect sense. Skilled Nursing has been dropped from the scenario. Long way to go yet but everyday is moving positive. Prayers still welcome.
