  1. Has anyone on here ever considered the possibility that some people only participate in these forums for fun. Fun at the expense of the poeple who take drum corps, and this online 'community' seriously. Every time you get worked up, or put any serious thought into a response to a stupid thread like this, you're only encouraging this immature behavior. I have a feeling that someone like this guy, jlb15 or whatever, or that 27th lancer #### (he wasn't really affiliated with the corp) that caused trouble, is only trying to have fun at your expense. Just something for anyone who takes these forums seriously to consider. Moderators?
  2. I heard that Academy is going Div. 1 in 2008. I can't wait.
  3. I've heard from a very trustworthy source that Bill Cook is going to buy the Troopers, with cash. I hear that it is going to be a truly amazing comeback. Can anyone confirm this?
  4. Wow man, how philisophical of you. You made a brilliant comparison for a touchy subject. I think I see this in a new light. But what i really want to talk about is the structure and rules for this new sax corps organization. One of the major problems that i foresee is reed durability. I think that it may be an expensive investment for the members, as their reeds would break often. Also, would there be regulations on mouthpieces? The heat of the summer would make metal mouthpieces hot and it might burn some mouths. As a drum corps fan, one of the things that i enjoy most is seeing a corp perform even when it is raining. However, saxophonists might complain about the weather because they don't want their instruments to be ruined. One major pro for a sax corps is that it sounds like sex or sexy. George Hopkins' daugher is sexy from what i hear. I'm just throwing some ideas out there for consideration. Bill Cook, are you reading this?
  5. In Sibelius 2, when you put a diddle on a note, it actually plays it. I would recommend Sibelius 2 over Finale any day, for ease of use and features.
  6. Both the cavalier's and bd's snares were not on for finals. No wonder neither of them won percussion. Judges look for consistency.
