I know Crown won't win but I think they have the best designed show this season. I am a diehard Cavalier fan I just dont get any of the Billy Joel stuff. I saw the Bluecoats earlier this season and usually I like them but this year they lost me.

I saw this online earlier. It brought one corps to mind. Does this remind anyone else of the Cadets? Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the human race forward. Maybe they have to be crazy. How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art? Or sit in silence and hear a song that’s never been written? Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels? We make tools for these kinds of people. While some see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

i saw crown at annapolis and everyone i was with loved crown. i being a pretty seasoned drum corps expert was surprised when the bluecoats beat them. i cant really get into the coats this year but everyone says they're awesome...

im pretty sure phantom did a shostakovich show in 2002 it was pretty awesome

If you were the designer what would your interpretation of each show this year be? Take for example Bluecoats this year. If I were the designer I'd have one central character "a criminal" breakout of jail and have the rest of the show be about the pursuit and have the corps act as the police while the guard would serve as accomplices

The Cavaliers for the best third place show ever in 1999 and for introducing me to corps and for amazing me every year.

yeah..where i live we dont have either one of those stores...would dicks sporting good carry em? would i buy half gloves or full gloves and do they have the holes in them?

so ive been practicing basics and tosses for like an hour or two for the past week sans gloves and my hands hurt like hell...do gloves really help?

so i happened upon the king website today and found out that they now make rifles...has anyone here used em or does anyone know of any wgi guards that used them this season?

so are there any former staff members of marching members of star out there teaching today and if so where?

i was thinking elite because thats what the cavaliers used...

i currently have a rifle..no clue what kind it is but its old and heavy. my question is are the newer rifles lighter and if so what is the best to get? im thinking an elite 4...but i dont know if i should get 36 or 39 inches..it won't be used in a show just for my own recreational spinning

sorry i havent been around for a while but just realized that my favorite and in my opinion the best indoor guard is now gone...does anyone know what happened? when was their last year performing? the last show i remember was the shawshank redemption one in 05..but just realized i hadnt heard anything about them in a while
