  1. Wow.. havn't been on here in ages.... Havn't missed much; same convo... different corps. First and foremost... HECK YES, ECJ!!! And the rest... bah, div 2, div 1, div 3, div 12.... you march, you get tan lines, you play music, you drum, you spin... you sleep on floors, you eat burnt mac n' cheese ('99 anyone?), you take freezing (or extra hot) showers... waterjugs, sunblock and hats are all mandatory. I don't know why people argue so much about this? I understand the difference and so does everyone else... Im not sure where Im going with this, but I hate seeing people argue.... Moving on, I marched ECJ and even my first open house in 2001, there were rumors of Div. I.... I would love to see ECJ grow and be competitive in Div 1... but baby steps ;) Aaaand, my input was pointless... (sorry, on a weird sleep pattern today) Hope you all have a great day!!!!! -Kelnuts
  2. Yeah I hear chicks on bass happen from time to time.... ECJ bass 2
  3. no need to get testy.... jeeesm, it's ONLY a plate line!
  4. I LOOOOVE how the horn kid is hypin' up our DL.....lol B)
  5. We have Dynasty's @ ECJ, and I know that our snares taped paper towels to the bottom ^OO^
  6. oh c'mon, can't I just say SCV?? ok, heres one... SCV Cadets 2002... theyre wicked ###### because we were in Madison and they were in the street practicing (im pretty sure finals were done because we were roaming around the city), but anyway, a truck wanted to get through, but none of them budged. So the truck had to drive up on a corner to avoid them! NICE! ^OO^
  7. I'd go! ..but I live 3,000 miles away. That commute would suck. But good luck, guys!
  8. Im a bass chick and I played Clarinet back in high school (well, never in the marching activity), but I find that being able to read bass lines are easier. So don't be "scurred". Do it and and get it chick! :P
  9. "Farley farley farley chip chip chip chip NANNY!!!" ..and the bassline would go, "PUUUSSSYYYYYYYY" (don't ask). "Yeah Lino!" B)
  10. VIC FIRTH! Just so at the end of the summer I can get a T-shirt that says "The Perfect Pair" across my chest....lol Although that MAY BE one of the reasons, it's not the reason... please bare w/ me and my sick sense of humor ^_^ Anyhoo... I enjoy ScoJo's (infact I switched the kids I teach to them.. they hated me at first for it. They went from Hardimons- which are great and light, but i wanted them to build chops.. cmon what kind of instructor would I be if i let them off the hook easy??). Hannums are a good time as well. Then theres the good ol' MS 2's B) VIC FIRTH STICKS/MALLETS ARE A GOOD TIME!
  11. I'd have to disagree.... Dynasty's are a good time B) The rumor is, according to a kid in their snare line '03, they tuned their drums extremely low. As far as the overall snare sound, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. As for BD, I think their bassline has a sick sound!
