yes. I thought Star and Crossmen were both much better, and Cadets, minus the big schlock on their initial entrance were up there. Plus, Cavies drum solo to this day grates me nerves for the sound of the diddles in the split line coming together portion.

in theory yes. but if you look at recent results, 95% of the time Class A corps do not outscore Open Class corps.

not a matter of making it less cut throat, but a matter of equity and fairness. 10 of 12 get in in Open. yet 3 of 14 get in in A. I realize it'll be a tough sell with the current voting set up, but it's time, because A class is the biggest growth area of DCA since 1997. In fact, A Class here is the exact opposite of the D2/3/Open Class Model in DCI.

i'm glad you agreed....i was afraid i'd get jumped on for cavies bashing. loved the total show, but that drum call astounds me.

it wasn't all that long ago that 16 corps was a big prelims show regardless of class. a few years in a row of 20+ is great news!!!

discussion is good. bashing isn't. the mini corps wars as they've been on here have soured folks from wanting to see it as much as helping to improve it.

why doesnt it matter who we're talking about? Do we really need to let this thread turn into a bashfest of those who may not allow their members to do I&E? we've already seen it turn into a bashfest about mini corps with stands and no drills.

yeah DA I knew about that other show, and scratched my head why so close, but, I didn't want to go to that other show, so this one looked appealing

doesn't matter who we're talking about. It should be an option for everyone at DCA to go and be a part of. maybe some people in a corps don't want to go. Fine. stay at the hotel. but they have the option. but making a corps participate under threat of penalty of any kid won't work. You'll actually turn people against it that way.

if you think it's bad now, it's a lot better than it ever used to be. I've seen a huge improvement in the last year. however, you CAN report mods if you think they are not doing the job properly. I know, because I have done it.....to friends that were mods. That report button is so key to making this place better...and so underused.

I am far from being obnoxious. I haven't even approached irritating yet. I don't feel like being suspended today. theory is that...theory. you can hypothisize all you want. the bottom line is, they will run it as they see fit because they own it. anything after that is moot unless you decide to sue them on theory. so if you wish to keep discussing theory fine, I'll keep discussing reality. Guess which actually applies here?

and i actually agree with you on that. However, knowing how it's run here, I see why they moved it. trust me, I have defended DCP more in this thread than I have in 6 years of posting here. Ask Mike That said, it's their site. They pay for it and have to answer to those who sponsor the place. Ergo, they can and will...even to my dislike at times...many times....run it as they see fit.

i wouldnt call that discussion. I'd call it immaturity or the inability to converse properly. I can converse properly if I so desire. I have, however, never claimed to be mature.

you're right, I used the wrong word. domain was incorrect. However, the bottom line is this...their site, their rules. don't like it....don't come here. that's all the conversation needed unless you contribute money to how the place is run. get a lawyer to disagree with me on that.
