Don't we all! I remember looking at a picture of a couple in their rain gear from 2011, when the prelims were rained out, and realizing it was my Father-in-law and Mother-in-law. The first two corps had performed, but they zeroed out their scores and everyone competed on Tuesday. Unfortunately, Tuesday and Wednesday weather doesn't look much better... I believe the hot air generated by drum corps fans, especially DCP contributors, creates a warm air thermal over show sites, effectively blocking storm activity. So keep talking! Garry in Vegas

BDB and SCVC certainly burst out of the gate, and like their older siblings always push each other to great heights. But I have to admit the pleasant surprise of all of the Open class corps. Everyone seems to have improved on their 2012 season, some already posting higher scores than finals week last year. It looks like the finish to the Open Class season will be as contentious at the World Class corps. Good for them! Garry in Vegas
