  1. Lee, I had a wonderful time working with you and all the Renegades! Cassandra is a pleasure to work with and has fast become a good friend! What truly amazed me was the wonderful welcome we received from ALL the Renegades. The hornplayers who stopped to thank us at rehearsal and then made sure they spoke with us while waiting to go on the field to the conversations with drumline members at the hotel telling me how much they appreciated our participation.....all in all I felt right at home and very welcome to be part of the corps. AND....some how we managed to have seven (that's right 7) flags in the Honor Guard for the weekend......it's providence I tell you! I think the best part of the weekend was Saturday, watching Mike take the field for the first time in 40 years - bless him, he was a trooper! I am looking forward to Chinese New Year and I have received some inquiries from other Skyliners and former Skyliners who now live in the west who would like to have a "reunion" then as well. We are on a roll, think! Cozy, You are quite a hoot yourself! Looking forward to hearing from you soon! Mar!
  2. I noticed this Saturday and Sunday when I was behind the stadium in the corps truck area and looking for a place to dispose of my empty water bottle before going on the field. Some kind of system needs to be put in place so we can leave the area clean and not ruffle any feathers.
  3. All I have to say is that the Renegades better brings some of that great California weather with them!
  4. In the words of my daughter - "You better Karma Cap that!!!!"""
  5. I am SO sorry I missed this last night (I am a Surf Mom). If anyone can do this again this weekend please try to give a heads up to the rest of us. It is killing me to be on the east coast when all the drum corps action is on the west coast! My daughter called at 12:30 a.m. to say she had a great show - but no scores were out yet.....it's still worth being woken up - just to hear from her! That was truly excellent posting in my opinion - kudos to you. BTW, I would not mind seeing those Surf photos either! Thanks for your efforts - very much appreciated!
  6. Thanks for the review. I am REALLY depending on the west coast to provide them, as I am a stuck at home Surf mom! Please keep them coming! Thanks again, Mary Jordan
  7. Lee, Thanks for your review. I am on the east coast and my daughter is with Surf - so any and all reviews are welcome. (BTW Surf's guard has 32 members). Your review was great and I appreciate the thought you put into it, even at that late hour. I truly wish there were more Div. II and III reviews out there, as that is the only way the stay at home parents can follow! Thanks again! Mary Jordan
  8. Condolences to Doc's family and friends. You are in our thoughts.

  14. As we Irish say: It was a great day for a parade!!!! A little cold, blustery wind at times but all in all a great day and a great turn-out for the corps! If only the sun was a little warmer..... We had a great time and saw some great friends....looking for ward to the next one!
  15. Dear Renegades.... We are finally home after flight delays due to the windy conditions in Newark. We landed in a snowstorm with 20 degree weather....where is the sun????? I wanna go back! Seriously though...thank you all so much for your hospitality! Munson and Elaina gave us a quick tour of SF before rehearsal on Saturday - they took us down Lombard Street (DO NOT attempt while partaking of jello shots!) and to Coit (sp?) Tower for a wonderful view and lots of photos..... Rehearsal was a blast, productive, laid back, and fun. Back to the city to get ready for the parade (thanks again Munson and Elaina) and then off to the parade! I have NEVER seen so many people at a parade....it was wild - but well run by the organizers. Chevy's afterwards was also a blast! Those Anaheim "girls" are too much! We met many new friends and some old ones from DCP who welcomed us with open arms. It was my please to march next to Dwight from Reading in the Honor Guard...Dwight I am glad you and your family arrived home safely. Thanks to Corkie for making me feel as though I have been marching with her forever and to Cassandra and Chaz for the ride back to the hotel after Chevy's. If I have the opportunity to visit with you all for next year's parade, I'll be there!
  16. We were #75 (there's that 7 again)! Will replay tomorrow from 3-5 p.m. from what I understand. Greg, Chris and Company.....we had a wonderful time...this parade was equal if not more populated that the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. I enjoyed hanging with you all for the day...started some good friendships which I hope to continue....the corps sounded awesome and the guard was really good too! Great street beat as well. Thanks for letting me be a Renegade for a day....next stop - Lee's pizza party in Rochester! Mar!

  18. OK - we are finally in San Fran and ready to be Renegades for a day! We visited Alcatraz this morning - I tried to leave Dave and Scott there but they would not take them! Rode the trolley to Chinatown and spent lots of $$$$ - had a good meal too. Stopped back at the hotel to drop off the loot and now we are off to Lombard Street and the Embaradero for a seafood dinner - it is Lent you know! Looking forward to meeting all the Renegades tomorrow at Site X. Thanks to Munson and his wife in advance for transportation tomrrow and for being tour guides! Eveyone should do this once...We are having a blast! Mar!
  19. Leaving for the airport in 1 hour!!!! Looking forward to meeting all you EVIL ones! Mar!
