Great Rehearsal for the 09 Velvet Knights!!!! The Horn Book is done, and we have played thru the whole show. There are still a few spots open in the High and Middles Brass Sections available. Hello From Michigan City!!!! What a night, Tornado Warnings, concerts between Beatrix and VK. Big Dale showed up just in time to see the concerts. The kids were amazing and have made friends with so many different people this year. During the preshow, the Beatrix members yelled out "2CoolVK", it was a great hype for the corps!!! Everyone is safe, the storm has passed us and the kids are asleep now. We are ready for Quarters tommorow.

I would like to thank all the Alumni, Families, and Friends of the Velvet Knights. The performance was a great opportunity for us to get the show in front of an audience before we go to Nats. The corps had a great, relaxed and energetic show. We all appreciate everyone who showed up. My special thanks goes out to the kids from Incognito that came out to cheer us on, and to the fans that threw the babies!!!!!(that was such a hype)

I hate to say this but, we are not using Bright Side Of Life in the show...Sorry. As for Friends and Family day, yes it is going to happen. July 26th at Saugus HS Times will be posted on our site later this week. www.vkyao.org The corps spent the last week finishing the show up, and will be spending the next week putting the finishing touches on the show (sorry no bull this year), the final run we had yesterday was great and full of VK energy!!!!! This year's VK has really stepped up to the task of putting on a great show, and really entertaining the crowd. Hope to see you all at the Friends and Family Performance, come out and wish the kids well before they go tear it up in Indy!! edited to fix date of Performance!!!!!
