  1. Initially had difficulties in deciding what direction we in SineWave were going to take. We got over that hump and really had it going with Dr. Ponzo on board. Then family issues got in the way and that was it. Hopefully we will be back in some fashion in the future. This is what we had going before we stopped: http://sinewavebrass.com/
  2. You and the Statesmen were awesome this past weekend. Sorry to see this all end. Really great to see you Saturday night back at the hotel. The best to you!! Rich Stanczak Cabs Contrablaster
  3. That would be Frank Ponzo up in the stands with the Competing Corp members watching and cheering us on! Still get chills from hearing both!!!
  4. Jumping in here late on this. SineWave 2010 was awesome for us who participated. For us it wasn't so much the $'s. For one it was some personal issues for those of us who wanted to keep going that kept us from continuing; me unfortunately being one of them. That and also a general lack of interest here in the Chicago area in doing this, period. Chicago, a hub for Corps enthusiasts and no one interested? Unbelievable me thinks, but unfortunately true. And a real shame because we had one of the best in front of us in Dr. Mark Ponzo from Northern Illinois University coaching us like I've never been coached before. I for one want to get back into this venue, hoping sometime soon that there will be individuals from around here interested in doing this!!
  5. Good question!!! "Taking Care of Business" has taken me away for awhile. Easter and Passover greetings to all of you out there in "Whoville"!!! Looking forward to playing that with the Corps in 2013!!!
  6. I resemble that statement!! Merry Christmas to all!!!
  7. No wonder Vince is the guy who doles out the Caballeros' unis for the Corps!!! "The Rest of the Story" - "Good Day"!!! - Paul Harvey!!! PS: Happy Thanksgiving to all of you out there in "Whoville"!!!!
  8. Yup, but it wan't a "smoochie"!!!! And our particular "victim" also is responsible for doling out the Corps uni's when he's not either practicing or performing.
  9. He was there. Very scary looking even today, especially in the pool with the goggles & swim cap on doing laps!!!!!!
  10. I had a few minutes so I thought I'd jump in. Thanks for all of the "shoutouts." "No one has a Guess on this Drum Corps Icon"??? Icon - Are you referring to his infamous tatoo?
  11. Wish I was there this year, but gotta take care of the home front first. BLOW THEM AWAY CABALLEROS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. X10. And a quick time out to wish "Captain" John Smith a very Happy Birthday!!!!

  16. Back at it again tomorrow AM. Really looking forward to it!!!! http://sinewavebrass.com
  17. Another amazing rehearsal yesterday under the direction of Dr. Mark Ponzo. SineWave is definitely going to be much better come DCA's this summer.
  18. Duct? Scotch? Drywall? Electric? Masking? Mungo dunno..........
  19. Mine too for awhile, working on "Dr. Love Presents........" in 2005 with the Royal Airs' brass ensemble that year at DCA in Scranton.
  20. Frank - Passed along your comments as requested. And nope - no affinity to lawn chairs, a preoccupation with playing the "Bull Call" or stuff like that, just an awesome presence in the world of brass.
  21. That's why rehearsals are structured in the way that they are, so when September rolls around we'll be ready!
  22. I don't believe so, but you never know... I'll ask tomorrow when I see him & pass along the L.I. Ponzo's "regards". And don't forget to throw in the white towel that goes with Frank's lawn chair!
