Take a look at my old corps. 1984 Avant Garde Started with a 30 and ended with an 80.9 Somebody look it up and see if Les Eclipses or or AG wins the comeback of the year award. Both impressive feats! -
Beyer 2004 On the video is says "Symphony #5". Who wrote it?

Star 90 and SCV 04. Lots of response here. DCI has done this in the past so why should this be any different. WE HAVE A TIE FOR 3RD PLACE!

The local PBS station in canada did the broadcast of DCI Canada highlights in 1986 in multiple camera angles. It looks very much like the 1984 finals highlights. There are copies of this floating out there. -

David was a great person and volunteered lots of his time to the drum corps and winterguard activities. I consider a privilege to have known him. He will be dearly missed. -
Jenn The Cast is in Greenville. Etude is in Rock Hill SC. Both in IO

As far as the juggler from Star goes.....he didnt march another year of drum corps as he aged out that year. His name is Steve Ragatz. He went on to do Cirque de Soleil among other things. His website is http://www.stevenragatz.com If you go to the 'Backstage" section, there is a page dedicated to his time with Star. I remember this guy coming up to him after a show in TN and he proclaimed to Steve "DUDE MAN....YOU THE BADDEST" He went on to haev the name Dude Man embroidered on his age out jacket.

Here is inside of the 316 bus from 27th in 1986. The overcrowding was due to us losing 2 of the 4 busses going from eastern PA to Bloomington IN for 26 hours. Notice Chuckie in the hammock, people in the floor, people in the racks and 3 to a seat. We got off of this bus and warmed up for about 15 minutes and went into the stadium to perform at teh IU soccor field. Good times!

Drum Corps Quotes - A little fun
star27th replied to kmansdrummin's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
quote from George Zingali: George: Laura!......honey!, you call that marching?!?!?! You look like you are strolling through the aisles of KMART looking for a sale!!!! -
That would be Tiffiany C. God help you or anyone else who tries to "bust her balls" as they will most definitely lose that battle. She is the real deal. I know first hand as I marched right beside her in SOI AND the Star Alumni project.

Yep. Its me!

And the last one is of the official 27th Lancer cafeteria across teh street from the corps hall. Enjoy!
