Hello All.
I have been 'researching' this topic for a couple months...for a class. My problem isn't finding information. It is finding NEW information...or, even just finding new ways to compare things during the period, because it seems that every trumpet player with a degree on the planet uses this period for a dissertation topic. It's understandable, since this period represents a rare period in history where composers actually like the sound of the trumpet for more than just 'bringing the heat.'
Even more challenging, I've been given the period between 1650-1700...
If any of you fine people might have any advice as to something 'new' or 'interesting' that was happening between trumpet and vocal music during this period, I'm all ears!
If not, thanks for reading!
