  8. 1999-2004 are all my favorite seasons in different respects. Especially with what Adam said before, the people I met in my 6 seasons with the Cabs led me to meet the best friends I have today. Winning is a great thing don't get me wrong, but being around the people in the Caballeros organization really made my years there REALLY special and memorable! B)
  9. I remember walking into Post 199 with three other people (Matt, Ray, and Mary... all from Saddle Brook HS). I was going to a Hawthorne Caballeros Open House for the 1999 season. I have never heard of the Caballeros or the Drum Corps activity in general. It was never my intention to march, I was just along for the ride with my friends who wanted to march. After the Open House concluded, everyone broke into different rehearsal sections. The brass caption head, Chris Bernotas, asked me what I played and I said "an alto sax." So he looked at me funny and handed me a Euphonium and sat me down next to Matt Dodd, my first drum corps friend. I ultimately ended up marching for 6 seasons and had a blast! Even though I am no longer marching, I still take a stroll down Memory Lane and think about all the great times I had with my friends while in the Caballeros. You guys and gals are the best! B) ROCK ON CABS!

  20. To the 2005 Cabs, No matter what place you guys came in, as long as you completed the season to your personal best ability and had fun doing it with everyone, then I say congrats on a successful season. I look forward to seeing you guys at the Post! I have marched with the Cabs for 6 years placing 1st-6th and I have nothing but the greatest memories of all those years, including the less than stellar ones. To the original poster, You have to understand that the corps as well as many others went through tough times during the pre-season. There is no reason to make it a point of reminding them what place they came in negatively. The members of the corps pulled together and put forth a presentable program. And for that reason I call it a successful season. It is hard for any corps to remain in the Top 3 or Top 5. Other corps have experienced it and so have the Cabs. Good luck to all corps in the 2006 season and have fun doing what you do! B)
  21. Hey Chris, the aviators will be in full effect this weekend! Bob, I will make YOU feel older... I was born on your 5th year in the Caballeros! B)
  22. I'm looking forward to it! See you guys in Wildwood this weekend! B)
  23. Fried Pickles have been holding me over every time we go to Scranton. They are conveniently located at Marvelous Mugg's!
  24. This is usually the only junior corps show I see all year. I went for the purpose of seeing my really good friend Adam aka Froggy. Sorry for the excessive yessing coming from section 109! Let me tell you being on junior corps really trimmed him up in the waist! But anyways... I really enjoyed the Mandarins show, being that they played music from Last Samurai. Crown was enjoyable as well. Bohemian Rhapsody was done quite well. I am a big fan of Phantom, so I love their show Parking lot before and after the show was fun. I got to see a lot of my drum corps friends and people I have worked with in the past. All in all, a good time.
