We are going to clean it and move on to movement 2. <speaking for myself> I am extremely pleased to see the absolute growth in Class A. The OFFICIAL word will come down from the powers that be of DCA. So, I don't have any idea when that will be. Perhaps John does. But the last we heard is that Vic is going to turn in his report to DCA and then they will decide if we are viable or not. I hope it's soon. Florida is ready for another competitive corps in 2008. I was there...in spirit. The Sun Devils don't have a favorite hang yet. There are lots of choices around Poinciana High School. My favorite is...Panda Express On a serious note, The Sun Devils can still use more horns, percussion, and guard. Wait a minute, that's everyone! Consider this an open ended invitation to become a charter member of something quite special. The ensemble runs on Saturday and Sunday night were awesome! You could feel the electric energy just oozing out of each and every member. And on Sunday, when the neighbor behind the school screamed, "THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!" You just have to know that the time is NOW. Get on the bus, we're going places. GO SUN DEVILS! Leave NO Doubt...

Well, Our DCA eval is over now...and it went very well! I will let our director give the full report. The DCA evaluator got to witness several full runs of the opener in ensemble block as well as a few runs of the ballad. GO SUN DEVILS Leave NO Doubt

Folks, This corps is coming out THIS year! Once we pass the DCA eval, we can don the title of, "competitive". I tell you what, the Sun Devils are a breath of fresh air. I like the direction and vision of the corps. I am planning on staying a long while. Poinciana High School is an AWESOME drum corps location. You know who else used Poinciana? ...The Magic. They hosted a Night of Magic there a few years ago and I was in awe of the venue. And I am to understand that at a certain corps will be staying there for DCI Orlando. The Sun Devils are VERY lucky to have Poinciana Band Director, Amanda Bork, on board. Big UPS and a thank you to Amanda and the entire Poinciana High School Administration! Hey Derek, Do we know you? After re-reading all of your posts, you sound very much like someone I know. If I don't, oh well. Perhaps you should consider coming out and marching with us! And to your point on the schedule on the DCA site, it clearly states, "tentative". Look at the Manassas show, it doesn't have anyone listed at all. Based on your logic, no one is going to be at that show. So instead of trying to pick us apart, you should come out and become a brand new CHARTER MEMBER! Geez folks, we are doing our very best to get a Florida corps back on the field THIS YEAR! I find it odd that there are so many naysayers. I thought we are in this for the sake of drum corps. I know that the Sun Devils support each and every corps, including all the start ups. We were very fortunate to get a huge kick start from the old Heat Wave. Good luck this season! Before I moved to Florida, I was checking out the Cabs as a possibility. I actually considered moving to Jersey just so I could march with the Cabs. (No joke) But alas, warm weather won me over. Anywho, I wish you the best on your season with the Cabs! See you on the 50!
