will be interesting to see scores from this show. At Atlanta Blue Stars widened the gap between themselves and Cavies and (although at different shows) narrowed the gap between themselves and Cadets to under a point (with the Cadets having done a show since Atlanta and Blue Stars have not) I think this will be a dog fight right to the end, just like the last time Cadets and Blue Stars went head to head in 2019.

I believe there is a battle beginning to brew between Blue Stars and Cadets, just like the last time there was competition/scoring in drum corps. Blue Stars came out on top then, will be interesting to see where things end up this time around. Will be fun to see if there are any ending or other additions to create a final push of excitement. History indicates there will be. Good luck to all. FCO! -

Lets hope history proves itself once again! I will come right out and say it; the horn score in San Antonio was a bunch of BS!! (Bull S***) Keep chugging away. Good luck Blue Stars with one of the most musically, and aesthetically engaging show we have seen for some time!!! FCO! -

people have been asking me about show meaning, so hear goes: I guess its left up to you the viewer to decide. I think it is about conflict, separation, home life while others are off fighting, proud patriotism, the insanity of war, the fact life goes on while wars take place and all are affected, the exhaustion of it all!!!!!!, trying to find some sense of normalcy and beauty in the midst of pain....and drowning your sorrows remembering better times, resolution and the search for peace/joy in the end despite our differences. I like that the show is not real literal.... Is for you to draw the dots together in a way that makes sense to you. The show is sophisticated and abstract enough to set a mood and does not hit you over the head with a theme...that's the beauty of this show!! -

well, im not worried about the props holding anything back,,,, have you seen the number and size of props all the top corps are using right now???? Funny how they dont ever seem to get mentioned. Props are the sign of the times!!! how you use them is what matters. Agreed , Blue Stars could make some noise for sure!!! -

Way to go Blue Stars, It has been 43 years since Blue Stars last beat Cavaliers at the 1979 DCI finals in Birmingham AL. However, Blue Stars must push to the end; it is not over until its over and I am not counting Cavies or Phantom out until the last score is read!!! Both are within striking distance. Cadets in the mix should be interesting as well..... FCOOOOOOO!!!!! -

everyone wants and likes a shake up/ upset in drum corps, until they are the one being upset. With the demise of the G7, parity seems to slowly be coming back, and with it, great competition. -

For sure, seeing them live is all together different experience then watching on flow. You simply can not get the total effect of that horn line until you see them live. The microphones/cameras on the flow broadcasts are not set up for their whole field front to back side to side coverage, thus not getting the blend you hear live as well as the total impact of the guard work. I would also add, sitting out on the 20 or 30 yard line is a very different experience than sitting on the 40/50. With the horn line spread out like they are, only hearing one side of the horns does not do them justice. -

mostly sour grape honks and some jealousy in my opinion. Blue Stars have a long long long history of beating corps; recently and going way way way back that others felt in the gut. They also try new things that, at first, others just don't quite know what to make of. There will always be naysayers for their own benefit. It is always easier to criticize and tear down then to create positively. Just as in life, beauty is often in the eye of the beholder. just keep rolling in the space of optimism and looking forward!!! Blue Stars are a very good drum corps on many different levels both on and off the field.... thus the reactions both positive and negative. Will be fun to see where the Blue Stars end up with this show..... FCO -
its not enough to just play loud...its how you play loud (and soft for that matter) Tone quality, blending in with the rest of the line, musicality, intonation, dynamics are important!!!!
