well_actually
So just heard that battery warmups are a bus ride away from the Rose bowl, just like in 03 for Orlando. Anyone else heard this and know where that location is?
friceox
interesting comment....I played at the Tour of Champions show back in 2004 at the Rose Bowl....and I don't even remember the lot for that show...well....before the show.....the lot after the show....that's where the real show was. I wish there was footage of it, pretty much just members from all 6 corps jamming together in the parking lot, doing what they loved, and not worrying about scores. But yeah, warmups this year?? No clue. Edited August 9, 2007 by friceox
critter
Hopefully not too far away. I think there are a few new dads who don't walk very far to hear some drums:)
well_actually
nice. You going to show up to finals and cheer on the victor this year. Whoever does win deserves your support.
shaners
warm ups for both horns and battery are at a separate high school a few miles away from the rose bowl. im not totally sure which one, but ill find out and let yall know.
ChiBoyinLA
Wow, this is very surprising. There is a HUGE amount of open green space around the Rose Bowl stadium, including a golf course that extends for nearly a mile north of the stadium. Certainly corps warming up at the north end of course would not be heard inside the stadium. Usually, the golf course is used for vehicle parking for large events -- perhaps the course is going to remain open during DCI week?? MidwestChica
actually, the area is surrounded by hills making it easy for corps warming up even in the farthest points on the golf course to be heard. And even if the corps were at this far far end, the walk from warm up to the stadium would be gruesome and probably not the best just before performing. hsreed
I would guess warm-ups are at La Canada High. They could easily block of a direct route from the school to the Rose Bowl and it's about 8 to 10 minute drive, pretty close.

They could easily block of a direct route from the school to the Rose Bowl and it's about 8 to 10 minute drive, pretty close. That's the word, La Cañada High School is where the warm ups will be. Then the Corps will have a police escort to the stadium. Nothing in the Rose Bowl parking lot. :(
