J.C.
This just in (finalized today): The Rock Band Mobile Tour will be setting up in the Brewfest parking lot. The Rock Band Mobile Tour is a nationwide, integrated mobile marketing campaign designed to generate consumer engagement and media coverage surrounding the release of Rock Band. The tour travels through top markets nationwide, letting gamers test the Rock Band game prior to its release in November. Gamers can play and compete as part of a nationwide casting call by MTV for participants in a Rock Band “Battle of the Bands.” The two top bands will compete on TRL and ultimately open for one of rock’s biggest bands at the Rock Band launch concert in November. THE TRUCKS • Each rig is a traveling Rock Band superstage. The trucks “fold out” to reveal a top of the line Rock Band play area. • A full concert style stage with lights, monitors, monster sound and multiple Rock Band gameplay stations offer locals the chance to get their hands on the game. • Each Tour Rig will be staffed by an eight (8) person crew of Rock Band evangelists. These teams will hype the crowds, hand out gifts and prizes, and teach visitors how to play. THE “ROCK-OFF” Audition • Each tour stop will serve as a casting call for participants that are confident enough to get on the main stage and be judged by MTV! • Two bands will be selected by MTV and flown to NY where they have a head to head competition on TRL at Nokia Theatre in Times Square • As they prepare for the final showdown, finalist bands will get a chance to spend a day with a huge rock band for “Rock Star training”, the “real” bands will give advice on the moves, style and attitude required to make it as a real rock star. • The finalist will open for one of the planet’s biggest REAL rock bands at the Rock Band launch event. THE TOUR • The tour kicked off with an event at the MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas • Before the rigs arrive at each location, “Advance Teams” will spread the word on the street, while RadioTag partner stations will send the call out through the airwaves. • Trained demo teams will present and play the product, and invite audience members up to play and perform! • All performances will be captured and viewed by MTV casting directors • Tour coverage on MTV, MTV2, mtvU, VH1, VH1 Classic COOL BEANS!!!! http://www.greatlakesbrewfest.com/

J.C.
Is there going to be a "JC's Review" about the fundrasier for the Kilties? They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. Check out a few pictures from the 2007 event: http://www.greatlakesbrewfest.com/ About 2000 folks went nuts for the Kiltie performance. The other 1200 or so were too busy tasting great beer to realize that we were performing on the East lawn. It was fantastic! (... and those attendance numbers are VERY conservative)
