Registration will begin at 11:00 am with the opening of the 2008 Season announcements by the Director, Holly Marino. This is your chance to check out Fusion Core, see what it's all about, meet the members, prospective members as well as staff; you will not be disappointed!! Family and friends are encouraged to come and experience what drum corps is all about. After a very successful first season we are honored to be joined by so many wonderful corps competing within the DCA Circuit and are dedicated to making the drum corps experience memorable for all our members. The level of talent and dedication by the members, staff and administration far exceeded our expectations in 2007 and we look forward to expanding our existing membership for 2008. The music, marching as well as color guard programs in place by our dedicated staff of music educators and drum corps professionals will provide you the members with the skills to be successful not only in the sport of drum corps but in life. Definitely not an event to miss!! Even if you’re not sure where you will be marching this year, or if you are new to drum corps, all are welcome no matter what your level of experience. Chris Kilian, Show Coordinator, will be announcing the 2008 show followed by introduction of staff. We know you do not want to miss out on this, so here is how YOU can be prepared: BRASS should bring gloves, hand towel, Bb horn (if you have) and a mouthpiece. GUARD should bring gloves PERCUSSION should bring sticks, mallets (Battery - drum pads, and if you have one, a snare) Fusion is dedicated to providing the best drum corps experience to all members while providing world-class instruction and programming. DMCK Posted October 31, 2007 Share Posted October 31, 2007 The show is going to be amazing. It's something you're going to have to experience. Come on out and see what it's all about on December 1st. Everyone is invited. I don't care if you've never done drum corps, if you' come from a bad band program, if you come from an incredible program, if you're a woodwind player, if you're an amazing drummer...it doesn't matter. There's something here for everyone. You'll be challenged. You will learn. You will have a blast. You'll learn to love purple :). You'll be proud of what you were able to accomplish. At least 98% of the season is spent out of uniform. Spend that time working on a show you love to play and march to, with a group of people you'll truly care about. Anyway, I CAN'T WAIT TO GET STARTED. I'm EXTREMELY happy to say that pretty much everyone from last year is returning!!!! That's AWESOME!! hardcoremello Posted November 1, 2007 Share Posted November 1, 2007 Well Greg, I'll tell you this. I was honestly thinking of only wearing one hat this year. Sometimes it gets a bit difficult being Director AND a marching member, BUT then I listened to what Chris and the rest of the team are working on AND I'm marching again!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to march. That's ok though, because marching and playing are my favorite thing to do!!!
