elphaba01 Posted January 26, 2008 Share Posted January 26, 2008 Scarlet Knight Passes: Jim Orminston, otherwise known as "Scarlet Knight" in the pages of DCP's Forums was called to that great drumcorps in the sky. He was a Charter Member of the Park City Pride Alumni corps, and had marched with Bridgeport Connecticut's Scarlet Knights and St Raphael's Buccaneers junior corps. He was also a member of the US Marines Drum Corps 1966-1969. I know that when Jim reports to the 'Pearly Gates" for further "Rust Removal" Earl Sturtze, Joe Gaudette and Ray Luddee will be very happy to see their former "Pupil". Semper Fi. I was fortunate enough to have said my goodbyes to him the Sunday morning before he passed on ... tell me again ... what corps did you march with? ... your compassion and devotion to the memories of the 60's is most appreciated ...
