overthehillDM
Noticeably absent at the post. Had to go to Danny Boy's after the parade for a couple pints of the good stuff! Dale, Sorry about the mix-up! If I had known that the Guinness was not going to be procured, (I had been assured that some would be available), I would have been certain to get it myself!!! From now on...I will no longer count on others. You would think that I'd learned this lesson by now, as I approach the half-century marker! Danny Boy's was the right move for the liquid refreshments. I thought that's where you ended up. We missed you at the post. And you missed out on some terrific chow! Jerome did a phenomenal job with the traditional Irish fare! See you in Harrisburg? JimF-LowBari
It is made in Milwaukee.See you in Harrisburg. LMAO, originally it was a NY/eastern PA regional beer. I only remember it because we would pass by the Allentown area brewery once in a while in the 70s. Strohs bought the brewery in the 80s or so and forget who got it after that. Didn't realize it made it to the Mid-West. And I'll add your name to the list of people I'll watch for at my home area (Harrisburg). <singing old 60s Schaefers jingle> "Schaefers is the one berr to have, when you've have more than one". arghhh. flashbacks. Bill R
All parades - http://www.saintpatricksdayparade.com/Mar 16th - Scituate, Mass. Boston Crusader Sr Corps Gates School, Scituate -- Scituate's 11th annual St. Patrick's Day parade is popular along the South Shore and Cape Cod communities. The parade ends at the scenic Scituate Harbor. Scituate is nicknamed the Irish Riviera, since many Irish politicians like James Michael Curley and the Kennedy's liked to vacation there in summer.(1:00 p.m.) Mar 30th - Manchester, NH http://www.saintpatsnh.com/ Muchachos, Inc - Light Brigade - St Kevin's Emerald Knights and and coming big parade - bigger than Scituate Mar 30th Holoyoke , Ma 2008 Holyoke Saint Patrick's Day Parade March 30th, 2008 Downtown Holyoke - The 54th annual Holyoke Parade is reckoned to be one of the largest in the nation. The parade is the culmination of numerous Irish events in March that celebrate the Irish community of western Massachusetts, many of whom emigrated from County Kerry and the Blasket Islands in the 20th century. (Noon) 411 533-1700 There used to be a lot of drum corps at this parade... Just to set the record straight, The Light Brigade will not be at the Manchester, NH. parade on the 30th. I've been told we are listed on the web site & I intend to have that removed. I'm sure everyone will understand no corps would like a reputation of not showing up for a contracted gig. I never sent the contract in because we decided to skip Manchester & pick another parade later in the season.
