MikeN
Got an e-mail from a music company today with their '08 marching band shows, and not only are several very familiar drum corps show names in there, even movement names are reproduced. However, they are *not* using the corps arrangements, or even the song selections - they created alternate arrangements and attached the corps' show names. Is that something where they'd have to get permission from a corps to do that? Seems kind of ... not right... but I don't know enough to debate the legality of that. Toby
I don't believe you can copyright a show title or title to a piece of music. But, I could be wrong entirely.

PurpleKnights
You are correct. Yep. School in my area did a show called "The Green Machine," featuring large spinning gears for props. The music wasn't related to the Cavaliers at all, but they sure got mocked relentlessly for ripping the concept.
