KDavis82
Speaking of Centerville, who designed their costumes this winter? They are really pretty. I like the subtle approach at the "frog" look.

I like the subtle approach at the "frog" look. I believe that would be Byron Valentine. . .he came up with the show idea too. . . He's really been outdoing himself lately with Centerville's unis. . . I really like the last couple he has designed for them. Plus he also works at FJM! ;-)

This night sounds really amazing with a ton of high quality groups coming to perform. I'd love to bring our guard (Ventures) but it's the same evening as IO prelims so we'll be a li'l busy :) I guess, given the small window of time you have to put this exhibition on, someone has to miss out on all the fun. :( Ah well, good luck to ALL the groups in Dayton this year! dugg
one day in the not to distant future........ ....interest in and attendance for the centerville exhibition eclipses that of WGI finals!
PeteInGA
They used to have this at the UD Arena. That was lots of fun!!

wgiboy321
You would think if WGI gave out a spirit/comradery award, Centerville would always be a program considered. That program I think exhibits everything good about the activity. . whether it be their marching band, guard or drumline, they continually open their arms to other schools and programs....and show a tremendous amount of respect to other programs....you can tell they instill this in their kids. Kudos to all the Centerville peeps! A true class act. As for a final schedule, I think they keep tweaking it up until that day. . .just keep your eyes on their site: http://www.centervilleband.org They also had this blurb about the show....and this is why I love their exhibition so much!! *We will have a space for you to warm up and we also have a secondary gym for you to bring your props and tarps in before the show. This show is pretty laid back and you have been given a 15 min interval time to perform in. This will include you pulling out your tarp, doing your show and getting the tarp off. So you won’t need to rush but if you would be conscious of the time the evening will run very smooth. Most of the units wear their uniforms but not full hair and make-up however this is totally up to you. As for the warm up goes, I think you should do the warm up 30 minutes before you perform. So if you are on at 6:30pm you would warm up in the band room from 6-6:15 and then transition to the back gym, gather your tarp and props and get ready to perform from 6:15-6:30pm. If everyone does this we will all have 15minutes in the band room to warm up. Once again this will not be organized. The idea is to relax and have a great evening of watching color guards. We will also have our concession stand open. We do not charge a fee for this show but this is a great fundraiser for us. Please let your parents and kids know that this will be available. I always have people ask if this guard or this group of friends can come and watch the show and the answer is YES! Anyone is welcome and the more the merrier! Please let me know if you have any questions or if you need to adjust your performance time. I am here for you and we want to make sure everyone has a great time! As for the sound system, we have the speakers in the gym that we used last year and I would recommend bringing your ipod. It didn’t read a couple CD’s last year. If anyone has a great system and would like to let us use it that would be great! Is there a site for the Miamisburg one also. I'd like to go to one of them while I'm up there. Does anyone know how close they are in relation to each other? Thank you.
PrfctTimeOfDay
Is there a site for the Miamisburg one also. I'd like to go to one of them while I'm up there. Does anyone know how close they are in relation to each other? Thank you. Miamisburg's site is http://www.miamisburgwinterguards.org I don't think they have anything posted about their exhibtion show.. . though I would guess it would be around the same time as centerville's. As for proximity. . .you're in luck. . .Miamisburg and Centerville sit right next to each other. . .I'd say maybe 5 or 6 miles from high school to high school. It'd take you about 10-15 minutes. . .would be my guess. This should help: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&...156384&z=13 Hope you can make it out to one of them!!
