Why aren't you marching this summer?

Recommended Posts

The Velvet Knights Drum & Bugle Corps are looking to fill the last of the brass and guard spots open, this weekend at their Memorial Day Camp.

If you're still undecided, come see what we're all about. Camp begins on Friday May 23rd, at 7pm - and will end Monady May 26th, at 5pm.

We have financial aide available. Don't let money be your excuse to not march with us, and travel to the DCI World Championships this August.

May 23 to May 26 - this is an overnight, all weekend camp. Check in begins at 7pm Friday.

To answer the original question: because I'm 32 years past my age-out?

OK, that's a reason, not an excuse.

For all of the eligible readers, you have no reason...or excuse! Go march VK!

Because I'm young and don't know any corps in Ohio that accept 13-14 year olds.

My son marched Div III soprano at 13, and Div I (World Class) mellophone at 14. He just turned 16 last month and is at Spring Training right now for his fourth year of DCI. Never say too young. You just need to work hard and show them you are mature enough to handle everything.
