yamae Posted May 21, 2008 Share Posted May 21, 2008 On Sunday, May 11 Yamato went through its evaluation process with Mr. Tom Hope. Today May 21, Yamato received word from Drum Corps International approving our reinstatement and placed us on the DCI Tour Schedule. Yamato's first show will be at the Corps at the Crest Walnut at Mt. Sac on Sat, June 28; followed by the Western Corps Connection: The Riverside Show on Sun, June 29 at RCC, and the Corps at the Crest Vista at Vista HS on July 3. Yamato will also perform at the July 12th Southern California Classic at Long Beach Memorial Stadium and July 13th Drums Along the Pacific at West Covina High School. YES, that right! Yamato will be performing in Southern California! Yamato's national tour will depart on July 23 with performances in Dubuque, IA; Chippewa Falls, WI; Omaha, NE; McKenzie, TN; Dayton, OH; Michigan City, IN; and the DCI World Championships in Bloomington, IN. Yamato is still looking to fill its last remaining brass and color guard spots. Our next rehearsal is our annual Memorial Weekend Camp from Fri, May 23 through Monday, May 26 at Valley View High School in Moreno Valley. If you're interested in joining, stop by this weekend and we'll show you how much fun you'll have marching drum corps this summer.
