Metheny
Didn't the Spartan staff leave for Citations? If so, thats good for the Citations, do we see a changing of the guard up here in New England?
josh161
Theres been many shake ups in the northeast. Search some of the older threads about the spartans if you want a better idea of what happened.

The staff of the Spartans did NOT leave just to go to the Citations. However, some of them are currently teaching in Burlington. The Citations are doing great so far and we all wish them the best of luck for the upcoming season.
corps8294
Did the Citations compete in A and A-60 back in the 1980s? That name seems to ring a bell from corps from back then. Just curious.
josh161
The Citations were a class A corps in 1986. My grandfather was on the board of the directors for the 20th Maine regiment in Oakland Me. I have in front of me a large binder of information from the corps and programs from the only show they ever hosted. The Citations were one of the many New England Drum Corps of the day... ok now back to the thread, good luck citations! good luck spartans! and everyone else out there thats competing this year! You are the ones putting in the blood sweat and tears!
EndzoneEric
You are the ones putting in the blood sweat and tears! I haven't heard a good Blood, Sweat and Tears arrangement on the field in years! Since '78 Madison played "God Bless the Child," to be exact!
