GlassFan
I was traveling in Ft. Myers today and drove past a flea market with a few old abandoned vehicles in the lot. I had to take a double look when I saw the Kiwanis Kavaliers semi sitting there. I pulled in and shot a picture of the old kitchen truck and souvie trailer sitting there almost as if they were ready for a show. It was sad to see it there in the lot quiet and left behind while I know many others are traveling around the country right now entertaining thousands with good ol' drum corps. If you were a part of this great corps I thought you might like to see the trucks. Kiwanis Kavaliers Trucks

GlassFan
Yes indeed...Unfortunately too many trucks are sitting idle this year.
salad315
Sigh...the kavaliers hold one of my favorite drum corps memories. I was at a show, having not really followed corps much that year, and I saw this corps wearing all black with this crazy facemask ninja things on...and I was like WHOAAA, that must suck to march with.... DrumCorpMom
Thanks for the pic. My son marched '04 & '05 with KK. I believe that is the equipment truck, and not the kitchen. I cooked many a meal in there. Sad, it was a really good organization and gave my son his start in drum corp.
RsD
Am I allowed to ask if the stolen equipment was ever recovered?

ContraRich77
Now that IS sad. For a minute, since I read "Ft Myers" I was hoping you'd passed a fatal car crash and saw my old employer's body staining the road in at least 3 pieces. But what you reported actually is sad........................here's a toast to the Kiwanis Kavaliers (clink)
The Other Mike
So are they up for sale or with the trailers just sit and rot like so many others have through the years ?
