Charlie "Boom Boom"
I remember a time when Division 3 alone had over 23 corps :(
ONTdrummer
Anyone not out yet? According to the DCI schedule, Spirit of Newark New jersey, Memphis sound and Les stentors are still due to start their tours which will make a total 26 corps in open class. For some reason HYPE has not been removed from the DCI show lists but they are definately out for the season
baritone9172
With the loss of Capital Sound and HYPE right before the summer season, there are now only 26 Open Class corps competing this summer somewhere across the country. Spirit of Newark, Les Stentors, and Memphis Sound are the only three corps that have not made their appearances yet. Mempho will be at their first show on July 21st. Spirit of Newark and Les Stentors will be making their first appearances this coming weekend. As for Open Class Quarterfinals in Michigan City only 22 corps will be making it out there. The corps who are not doing tour all the way to finals week are Mystikal, Incognito, Gold, and Blue Devils C. Hopefully they will all make it out next year. Jeremy Denzer
You also have Beatrix and Stragnas who both will be competing in Open Class prelims.
CSGreen
Yeap, 28 total corps, 23 headed to prelims by my count
baritone9172
Well they're not going to have a separate show for International Division with only 2 corps heh. Maybe Stragnas will compete in Open Class though? It all depends on if they follow typical DCI regulations and guidelines.
cantgetenoughcorps
Where are Strangnas from? It just says Stangas SW, and I am not familiar with this, and DCI doesn't list them as having a website? Thanks for any info

Maybe Stragnas will compete in Open Class though? It all depends on if they follow typical DCI regulations and guidelines. Both will be participating in Open Class competition, but will be competing is International Class corps. So, come Championships week, you could see as many as 14 corps in finals if both sore within the top 12 of Open Class.
