MetalTones2012
I actually just saw a trailer on DCI.org for a movie with that name. It's a fictional story about a girl who wants to join the guard of a championship corps (the credits underneath the link I clicked say it's SCV, but for the movie's purposes it could be portrayed as a fictional corps. Who knows?) Anyway, here's the link: http://www.dci.org/about/advertise/otsl.cfm
Northern Thunder
I finally had a chance to view the youtube clip in question. I'm not sure why this film is called On The Starting Line. This film was the Art Luebke-produced PBS broadcast of the 1977 DCI Midwest/Whitewater, simply entitled "Drum Corps 1977". I've had a copy for 30 years. Art did PBS broadcasts of DCI Midwest for 1974, 75, 76, 77 and 1978.
sday88
The Bluecoats also had a film crew running around in 93 or 94. I remember at the Pittsburgh show 2 or 3 members were fitted with cameras on their helmets to catch the action on the field. We then proceeded to have the worst show of the year. I'm not sure what ever happened with that endeavor. But the film crews even rode a few times on the buses to get some footage. Oops. I don't know if it is still around but "The Gavel Game" made it on to film......... Or at least a VERY toned down version of it.-T. You mean this? I have the VHS at home. I forget what year it was, but there is another thread on DCP somewhere that I also posted this picture and I think I said the year.
RichCranford82
Anyone remember the documentary focused on Spirit back in 79 or 80? Don't recall the title but I always loved that one.
Northern Thunder
That program would be "The Best Show In Town".

Based on the Uniform I would say it is 1992 or 1993. Thank you. -T.
sday88
Yep, That is it. Based on the Uniform I would say it is 1992 or 1993. Thank you. -T. It was the '94 season. There's more discussion about it here: http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/forums/inde...c=96748&hl= I posted the picture on page 4 and it was discussed from there. Someone pointed out that the picture on the front isn't from '94 though. Edited July 18, 2008 by sday88
