CrunchyTenor
IMO, having your own busses is a HUGE financial drain, unless you can charter them in the off-season. Still, a HUGE financial drain and liability. Maintenance, insurance, finding qualified drivers, etc. Most drum corps have jettisoned their fleets for these exact reasons. For instance, if you're on the road and have a bus problem, it's the charter company's problem. If they're your busses, it's YOUR problem. Even with the crappy (and IMO unethical) situation VK was put in by their charter company last year, it was still better than being 2500 miles from home and blowing an engine or other catastrophic failure. Still, a great paint job! Garry in Vegas Edited October 29, 2008 by CrunchyTenor
