ScarletKnight
How about bears on Segways?
Scout
How about bears on Segways? Bears on Segways are fine. However they can only be mic'd when they're in the pit. They cannot be mic'd when they're on the field.
Ahamay Oton
In all seriousness I am with the person who stated earlier that rules changes should be given a break. New rules do not necessarily move the organization forward and personally think the rule change cycle should be about every 2 years to let things settle and to really be able to judge the impact. Unless there is a rule change that turns out to be so grievous that there is unanimous pressure to recall or change it. If there are any rule changes they should focus on improving the fiscal health of DCI and its member corps as well as growing the organization. IMHO Stop making sense. hrnguy500
I wouldn't be surprised if electronic drum boxes will come into play before too long. I guess this would follow if "pre-recorded" sounds and synthesizers are allowed. (I am against these ideas)
hsreed
Install applause signs so the audience knows when to make noise. Allow up to 22 horns to be amplified. Implement a cap on the number of horns and drums. Allow battery powered light devices outside the pit. Extend the set-up time between to 8 minutes, they need more time have to check the electronics and lay out the guard equipment. Cap the number of world class corps to 8. Michael Boo
Bears on Segways are fine. However they can only be mic'd when they're in the pit. They cannot be mic'd when they're on the field. But they must be "diapered," as is the requirement for equipment carts/tractors that are gas-powered. I don't want us to answer the question if a bear (you know) in the Lucas. Edited September 21, 2008 by Michael Boo
