G-horns
get her to march! theres a banner to carry! Not if I want to come home. She's a music teacher that puts up with my parades as long as she doesn't have to do 'em with me. Besides, Hopkins hasn't gotten cello or piano on the approved equipment list - yet. Big Bad Bari
While contemplating where I'm going to park a couple of questions come to mind. How late will Chevy's be open? What time does the garage in the Embarcadero Center close? Scanning various web pages the answers seem to point to midnight but does anyone know for sure from past experience? I know there are several "$10 all day" lots along the Embarcadero that appear to be 24/7 types so that's a possibility. In any case, I've got my red shirt. Got my flag harness and am ready to join the Honor Guard again as I did for DCA finals last fall! Speaking of DCA finals, I've got my plane tickets, room reservation and car reservation for this years event already Paul I can't answer your specific questions however... I bet by the time we are done at Chevys... You will definately not want your car!

Speaking of DCA finals, I've got my plane tickets, room reservation and car reservation for this years event already Paul I just spoke to the parking garage. They close at Midnight every day. They said that the garage at Embarcadero 1 (the building next door to Chevy's) will be open until 1:00 am on the evening of the parade. If you get Chevy's to validate, 4 hours of your parking are free. In the past few years, I've parked there just after rehearsal, did the parade, ate at Chevy's, left Chevy's at around 11 or 12, and ended up paying $10.00 for parking. It looks like they've raised their rates a bit, so it might be a little more now. I often use that garage when going to the movies but after 6PM, so it's good to know that the validation will still 'work' for 4 hours worth even when arriving before 5PM. And $10 is about what it would cost to park in one of the outdoor lots a few blocks away anyhow. Now let's hope that the warming trend predicted for later this week extends for an additional week Paul
Mistress Kelli
The rainy weather was pretty gnarly last year but we still had a good time. I'm hoping for something better this year!

I, too, am hoping for nice weather. But anything beats snow and temps in the mid 20's - for the high temp of the day!
LegalEagle50
disappointed this has to go on the "not this year" list again. had a blast in '03 and '04. started talking this up at a gathering this past weekend, so hopefully in the future . . . there are still things i didn't get to do. riding a trolley car and going to the Golden Gate Bridge still need to be done!
