malletrockr12
I just finished watching finals. How in the H#@* do the upper tier pits play that fast? Crown was possibly one of the notiest shows I've ever seen. How the #### does that happen?!?!?
Stryfe
Not only fast, but loud. Crown last year had a philosophy that anything but the exact center was never necessary, and their power into the bar was crazy. Lots of practicing, I guess. Supersonic
Yep. Simply put, you chop-build your *** off.
MGCpimpOtimp
They also used some pretty harsh mallets, lots of 250s and 1006s. Cavaliers pit to me played the loudest, check out their heights on the IP videos, those dudes were sick. K-Swiss
I watched a crown rehearsal in mid July. Their pit don't #### around.
soccerguy315
a lot of the pits seem too loud to me now... (not the fault of the kids)
Stryfe
Now that's a different idea. I don't think any of the pits were always too loud, except perhaps sometimes Cavaliers, and that would probably be fixed by less amplification. To the contrary, I think most corps amplified very well and their lines were actually audible. But this is 2004 kind of topic. :S Edited January 12, 2009 by Stryfe
