dcifan2002
current head gear is ok . up close . BUT.... On the field the lack of a PLUME or any Hight leaves the corps looking small.
BigDale
If Pioneer had unis that allowed me to march a show without wearing pants, I would have been there in a heartbeat!:) I remember when they came out in the light khaki pants in '98 or so...they almost looked like "Peter Pantsless"! contrajedi8
Not to piggy-back off the previous post, but I agree. Why does everybody think aussies are so frikin cool? I think they look silly.

Baritone13
shakos look stupid, end of story.
skewerz
k that helps my point... SCV, Madison, Cavies, Crossmen... Granted, there are more corps that use shakos, but, to me anyway, aussies take a special style, and it's a hard one to break in to. When I think SCV, I think aussie. When I think Irish, I don't think aussie. I like the bagpipe berets used in some of these pics. They wouldn't go with the current uniforms, however. I think they should stick with what they have. No one else has it, so it's unique. Cookie cutter does not necessarily = good.

And of course when Pioneer was winning everything in Div. II, they wore aussies, so that is also part of their tradition. That had to be somewhere in the early 90's, when they wore the white cadets, IIRC. Shakos, tams/ berets, floppy leather hats, white Bridgemen like hats, aussies, police hats--they have pretty much worn everything except a Regiment helmet or pith helmet. Or one of these:
