The Hawthorne Alumni Corps has been contacted to do this parade. We were originally going to have the weekend off. I believe the competing corps already had several of their regular commitments for July 4. As of now it is still in the talking stage. Many people had made other plans due to the free weekend. Rumors abound that there are no hotels/motels in the immediate area (20 mile radius) to stay over. Anyone out there who can confirm or deny? I have not yet checked into the location and hotel availability. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Also, is it true this is an evening parade?
