WWBD Posted May 6, 2009 Share Posted May 6, 2009 Corps Director Scott Stewart has named Kurt Klingenmeyer to lead the corps as Drum Major for the 2009 edition of The Kilties. Kurt is a local music educator in Racine who has an extensive marching music resume that includes both marching band and drum corps experience as both a performer and a instructor. Kurt is also a member of The Kilties brass instructional staff which also includes Rick Kirby, Mike Madonia, Bobby Lindsey, Mike Taylor and Guy Gregg. The corps has one tenor position available; plus one contra position and backfield conductor position, although the contra and backfield conductor positions may potentially be filled within the next few days as applicants are presently being evaluated. Looking forward to Kurt leading the corps in the performances and on the instructional/teaching level. It's all good stuff.
