I checked the scores from today (some from yesterday) and compared them to what happened exactly one year ago on this date (7/3/09). Note...This is not a 100% guarenteed accurate scientific experiment....just some stats for fun. Here are the Corps that are either 1+ point above or 1+ point below where they were on 7/2 or 7/3...2008. Gains: 1. Carolina Crown 79.1 vs 85.1 (+6.0) 2. Blue Stars 71.3 vs 76.4 (+5.1) 3. Blue Knights 71.8 vs 76.2 (+4.4) 4. Blue Coats 76.5 vs 80.2 (+3.7) 5. Troopers 69.8 vs 73.1 (+3.3) 6. Cadets 81.2 vs 82.8 (+1.6) 7. Madison Scouts 71.6 vs 72.8 (+1.2) Loses: 1. Cavaliers 81.3 vs 79.5 (-1.8) 2. Glassmen 73.8 vs 72.2 (-1.6) 3. Phantom 81.5 vs 80.0 (-1.5) And for those of you who are interested... Vanguard 81.4 vs 81.7 (+.3) Colts 73.9 vs 74.2 (+.3) Blue Devils 83.7 vs 83.9 (+.2) Boston Crusaders 77.3 vs 76.5 (-.8) Now what does this all mean?...well its open to interpretation....like most subjects on this forum. that is all.... HolyName06 Posted July 4, 2009 Share Posted July 4, 2009 Interesting post...As far as I know, west coast corps' have always been inflated early on in the season, and lately the east coast scores have catapulted. Maybe DCI is trying to counter-balance the trend? DCI SW should be interesting, though all of the corps will be competing between Dallas and Houston a couple of days before hand. These scores just leave me wondering what they will be like at Finals. Will it be like Pi...a continuos stream of decimal places (because the top three corps all hit 99.####) all to see who gets the gold in Indy?
