Piper
Hey Jim J. I actually brought Jim B. up to the very last practice the Golden Knights Senior Corps had in the fall of 1975 when he was with The Saints. I remember picking him up at his house in Edison. He would have been 15 and he was awesome then. As bad luck would have it,we broke up that practice the first one he went to! He later helped out our short lived attempt at a junior corps in Elizabeth a few years later. Maybe you and I will get a chance to finally talk in Rochester! Joe If we're both on the same page, I think I remember that. I was in perc and Bobby Craig was the instructor. This kid walks into the gym one day and Bobby told us that he was one of the best sops going - he just needed some time to get his chops in shape, but like you said, the corps was short lived and I never did get a chance to hear him play. I wonder what Bobby is doing now. I remember that there were a lot of former Sac and Polish Falcons involved at the time.

DPEmerald
Yes, you are correct. At 18 he walked away? What a shame. Imagine we could have heard him until 1981!

HornsUp
I competed that year against the Kilties many times and Tommy Meredith was awesome also. Tommy was just a 14 year old rookie when his section mates chose him to be the premier soloist with the 1973 Kilties, a DCI top 5 corps. Prior to that season, he was only a 2nd soprano in the feeder corps.
