I had the priviledge of driving the Hurcs "Pit" truck this weekend and got to see the pit members from the Bucs putting their equipment away. What a great bunch of kids! I might be wrong, but their average age has to be about 16/17. Once again, congratulations on your Championship Season!
Jami
Well, going across the line, let me think about ages here... Marimbas - 21, 20, 23, 22 Vibes - 18, 23, 21, 18, 21 Auxiliary - 28, 18, 19, 18 Timpani - 22 All of them truly amazing.
JoeDz
Congratulations on a class act and phenomenal group of performers. Very touching to see Geoff's uniform and horn on the field at retreat. I marveled at the video clips of Bucs from both prelims and finals...... yet, after reading about Geoff, that blank in the line reminds me what life is all about and the role that drum corps plays in our lives. Life is fleeting, seasons are fleeting, dynasties are fleeting. Let us celebrate the Bucs tremendous accomplishments over these past five years and ENJOY THE MOMENT..... a well deserved moment (then get back to work......I can't wait to see you next year) Congratulations! Dennis Argul
Yes Dave, congratulations to the Buccaneers on another amazing run and breaking and tying all those records! Congratulations to the Govenaires for their Chamionship as well! I watched every Corps on both days! DCA just keeps getting better and better! Any one of the Open class shows (and a few of those Class A's as well!) could have been champs in 96 when I started arranging in this circuit, and certainly in 82 when I started participating in this circuit, so that just goes to show how high the bar has been set. Just think what this activity will look like in another 10-20 years! Wow! Just hope I am here for the ride! 2010 started yesterday! Can't wait!!
