So changes can be made for May, so you aren't changing a book so much once you move in. The earlier you get those changes out of the way, the more time you can work on cleaning shop. The 2010 season begins in just under a month with the first of three Crossmen eXperience camps in Dallas, San Antonio and Houston. All three camps serve as round 1 of auditions for the 2010 Crossmen Drum Corps as well as a two day drum corps experience for those who just want to see what World Class Drum Corps is all about! The first camp is at Forney High School, in east suburban Dallas, TX. This is the second year that Forney High School has served as host to the Crossmen Dallas camp with over 200 talented students attending in 2009. The following weekend, Johnson High School in San Antonio will serve as the site of the second eXperience camp, which also saw 200 plus potential future Crossmen last year. New to 2010 is the Houston eXperience camp. The corps is in the final stage of securing the hosting site and by all indications, the Houston camp is shaping up to be one of the best yet. "We are a month away and we have record numbers pre-registered for the 2010 eXperience camps" said Mark Chambers, corps director. "It is our goal to see over 200 participants at each site" As a reminder, all potential members for 2010 must attend one of the three eXperience camps. Veteran members of the corps are required to attend as well as it serves as the intial audition for corps membership. Spots are still available for all three camps.
