Darkened_Apes05
The Kingston Grenadiers embark on a new adventure in their 51st year, introducing a fresh new direction and sound for the corps, while keeping their tradition of bringing excitement and entertainment to the DCA audience! The Kingston Grenadiers present their 2010 production: “WITHOUT WARNING” featuring selections from composer Stephen Melillo’s “STORMWORKS” that have been hailed “a new world of expression for the modern wind ensemble that ignites a fire and touches our musical soul” The emotional journey that is STORMWORKS cannot just be performed or heard, it must be experienced! With the relentless energy, passion and excitement of a suspense-filled film score, Melillo’s music leaps off the page and pulls you into a musical world unlike no other! Selections include: “Timestorm” “Before the Storm” “Into the Storm” Life's a Storm! In this musical journey of the human experience, the “Storm” may be marked by battle, by natural disaster, by need and by injury and suffering, but just like in a Storm as in Life, Light triumphs in the end, providing hope and inspiration for generations to come! Musical Arrangements by: Dave Orser, Scott Atkins and Dave Simpson. Visual Design by Duane DeWire. Choreography by Michael Watier & Nicole Orser. The Grenadiers have already begun their winter camp rehearsals for the 2010 season and welcome all interested members to come out to the next camp weekend on November 28th/29th in Odessa, Ontario.
