Gary Matczak
This is from a standstill performance during the Marching in Okayama weekend. Aren't these the guys who used to have uniforms like the Bridgemen?............I met a guy from the Jokers way back in the early 80's in Montreal
Eddie
Aren't these the guys who used to have uniforms like the Bridgemen?............I met a guy from the Jokers way back in the early 80's in Montreal From videos I have and have seen, they've had the same uniforms since they inaugurated themselves in 1989. Only things that have changed are the hat and the inclusion of a vest. Founder of the corps is a huge Bridgemen fan. I'm not sure though what came before them. Perhaps Ken could shine some light on a little history??
geritubo
I have heard that several numbers of original players owned the Bridgemen-like coats. Anyway, our unis in yellow (plus black pants) have come from the color of the banana-coat. The original foundation of the Jokers was around 85 or 86. Having watched the situation of the Bayonne corps, Some guys around Kyoto made a drum corps under the motto "During a short absence of the B-men, we will hold their way of show creation ". Naturally, Comical and Theatrical have been the basics of our shows. Our latest gig was "The Field Art NEXT 2010" in Maibara city on last Sunday. It was the last performance of 2009-10 season. Now we are planning the show for coming season. Ken, Brass Arranger for the Jokers

akira
What section in the Cabs? Hornline or Drumline? One plays bass drum and the other should play in front pit.
